Lighthouse - Ipswich
Lighthouse Womens Aid offer temporary accommodation in safe and supportive refuges where women and their children can recover from the traumatic effects of domestic violence and make informed choices.
We also offer a range of community services, courses and counselling to support women to rebuild their lives after abuse.
Services include:
- Advice Service - One-to-one support to women living in the refuge, providing advice and advocacy on topics such as housing, welfare benefits, safety, legal advice and debt advice.
- Children’s Service - Support and guidance to children and young people who arrive at the refuge with their mother/guardian plus childcare, run play sessions and arrange activities and outings during school holidays.
- On-Call Service - Cover for the refuge outside of office hours ensure families living in the refuge are supported 24hrs and are on-call for advice, support or emergencies when the Advice Team are not present.
- Resettlement Service - Supports and advocates for families who have recently moved out of the refuge. They can help with finding accommodation, moving house and settling in to a new environment.
