BDP is an independent agency delivering an accessible and confidential information, advice and counselling service to drug misusers, their relatives and friends and to other professionals working with drug misusers. BDP deals with problems related to the use of solvents and prescribed drugs in addition to the wide range of illicit drugs. BDP enables people to achieve their goals by utilising whichever model of addiction has the most meaning for that individual and, as such, does not promote any single method of treatment..
Fawcett is a national organisation that campaigns for equality between women and men in the UK on pay, pensions, poverty, justice and politics. Bristol Fawcett is the local group for members of the Fawcett Society. It is a campaigning group and members raise awareness of issues such as the impact of government cuts on women and single parents. Bristol Fawcett doesn't have any staff or offer any service provision but does publish reports on its website and works with local decision makers to bring a gender equality perspective to policies and proposals.
