Cheap Chinese Chow!
Fancy a Chinese? Worried about the cost and the calories? This Chinese-style microwave dish is quick to make and is great for using up leftovers.
Try using any of these ingredients
- Protein: prawns, pork, bacon, chicken, flaked almonds, cashew nuts, egg.
- Vegetables: Mushrooms, courgettes, radish, mange tout, french beans, peas, beansprouts, leeks, onions, sweetcorn, celery, peppers, carrots (grated or thinly sliced)… anything that’s not starchy.
- Flavouring: Soy sauce, five-spice powder, Chinese curry paste, coriander leaves, chives, lemon grass, garlic, chillis, ginger, lemon juice, sherry…
- Serve with: Rice or noodles.
