Hi all. Certain tarrifs are giving a one off payment for electricity. On certain benefits, kids under 5, disabilities.

Good luck trying hard. I didn't see anything that said about being a new customer. I did however read on one of the companies list, that even if you left and moved to another company, they would still pay the full amount.
Check out the gas one too, as they do it, again for single parents with children under 5, and on benefits.
The water company also. I looked into it, but didn't qualify as I'm not on a water meter!!
In fact I don't qualify for anything

...but I have found this website and Home Heat Helpline for anyone who wants to enquire about grants and energy advice 
My advice is turn off all lights, sit in the dark. Get water bottles, snuggle up to the kids (who needs partners, they're not as cuddly)lol.
