Are you facing or in an empty nest?

Hello, I'm a journalist with the Guardian Family section (it's in the Saturday paper).

I'm writing about how it feels once the nest empties, and would love to speak to a lone parent whose last/only child has recently left home, or is perhaps about to.  I've talked to a range of parents whose children have left home relatively recently, about how difficult/liberating/sad etc it has been to have their child/children move out - and there are I'm sure additional issues for parents who are alone, or who will be alone once their child or children have left.
