Oh heck Skyflower. How hard... I hope he had a good day though. It helps when they're okay with things...
My girls are back today....yay! I've missed them so much. My parents are driving them over so they should all be waiting for me when I get home from work later today
My youngest starts secondary school on Tuesday Skyflower. She looks so small in her school blazer as its a bit big for her!
It will be lovely having them home pq.
I think they do look small and vulnerable when they start Year 7...
Yes, Sparkling, He just loves the new school, my youngest one does !!! the eldest is not very happy about it, coming home fuming as he says the youngest is interfering with his friendships,
PQ, Sparkling is so right, they are very vulnerable and small when they start, I so hope your youngest will love her new school, that would make all the difference....
Hello everyone, yes Year 7 is the big transforming one, they get a bit over-confident being the big ones at primary school and then daunted by the new, huge buildings and all the older children. The school buses always used to amuse me, it looked as if they had been allocated seats in age order as the big ones always get the back seats and the year 7s are on the front rows.
Hope everyone is OK. HURRAY for a new cooker, sparkling.
How have your girls settled back at home, PQ?
Skyflower the weather is getting better for your doggy walks.
Rev, hope you have a better weekend.
Clever Mummy, hold your head high, just remember what he was wearing!!
I have been living in a vortex of editing, I now have just two chapters left to go so should finish today. Then I have an erotic short story to do then I have a week off! Eldest has been in London, youngest has been getting ready for his winter ski hotel job with some bar training and we had to send all his measurements for his uniform.
X Factor tonight!
When is youngest going Louise? Will you be having a winter break? Perhaps you'll be needing a week off after the erotic book
I will be waiting for the auditions to be over before watching the X Factor. I just feel so uncomfortable with the not so good ones...
Summer is meant to be returning next week. And no holiday makers blocking the beaches. Hurrah...
Ah yes I like the live shows best for X Factor too. I am hoping for a return of summer as I am off from Friday, and yes, I will need a rest after the rude book. Hopefully you will be able to get on the beach, sparkling.
How is everyone else, had a good day?
Morning, what plans for today, I am on creche duty this morning
Eldest and girlfriend have collected their 8 week old puppy, he is so cute but there is a lot of newspaper on the floor!
Hope you all have a good week, I am not here next weekend so see you all soon!
It was my birthday today. Yesterday evening my son came from town and gave me a beautiful necklace, my other son wrote me a very long and beautiful card. Even one of the kids that comes here regualrly, had a gift for me. The neighbour and a friend came with flowers, yesterday, which was lovely. And....I received a lovely diffuser, from very special people
I so missed my family, still this year I was remembered by people...
A BIG happy birthday for yesterday skyflower xxx
thank you lovely Pancakequeen xxx
So so very glad you can cook again Sparkling, and that it was such a lovely meal...it is a bit daunting as well with a new kitchen and oven, as all ovens are just a little different...I can't imagine how you coped without a proper kitchen all this time....I so hope it will go alright for your children, I had not realised that one of your children is Asperger's/autistic and you must be such a strong person always coping so well and a kind and supportive word for everyone, so well done Sparkling
My youngest looked so smart this morning, in a blazer, like a real business person, 11 years old, he looked ever so handsome and I remember the eldest, how quickly he changed from primary "babyish" to this new person within 3 months...I looked out of the window and he tried to cross the road, he waited...waited...waited and then ran for it as he was too impatient to wait for one other car. Then stood there at the gate, looking around for a whole minute, to then decisively make that step forward and gone was Primary, hello Secondary.
