It can be watched or downloaded in HD from here, its kind of a show case for an open source 3D rendering software called Blender. My kids have watched been watching it all evening, it's kind of sad but amazing, I think so anyway, but most of all it's (legitimately) free entertainment for kids, which is great for people like me.
I spend too much time wandering the internet : )
I can't remember which TV site I posted but there are two, both free you just have to sign up..
TVCatchup and Demand Five, I know them because I use a program called NeverMissTV which has a plug-in that integrates with windows 7 media centre which I have set up in my front room so me and the kids can watch films, DVD's and on-line TV.
It was Tv Catchup one I used. Although I have a Freeview box, not all the channels are available so can now do it online!
You have got your own home cinema by the looks of it?
Yep! and all build on a budget, cheaply : )
it has a remote too, which also doubles as a mouse : )
Cables though, I hate cables.
I'm so impressed...
Good, good, if you have any young sexy female friends be sure to mention this to them and then give them my phone number
P.S. My granddad made that table.
Talent in the family then? heh heh.
Young and Sexy? That's me cancelled out then, lol
I'll ask my oldest
Bubblegum, how do get HD or whatever. I would love for C to watch Shrek, forever after. I'm only getting the trailers up. Any help would be great. I thought I downloaded something that you suggested a few weeks back, but couldn't have done that right either. Duh!!!!
Shrek for ever after hasn't been released on DVD yet, so all the rips that are out there are copies done from someone sat in a cinema with a video camera, they are called CAM's and they are generally dark with muffled sound and not worth watching I don't think.
The HD (High Definition) version of Sintel has to be downloaded with a torrent client, like uTorrent, once that is installed you just click on one of the torrent links on the Sintel site, there are a range with different quality, like definition and sound. If you are just watching it on a laptop then the mp4 stereo one would be quite adequate : )
Here is a beginners guide on how to use uTorrent : ) it gives an example torrent of how to download Open Office which is a free replacement for Microsoft office, handy if you can't afford the hundred odd quid to buy for office : )
Another thing if you are having trouble getting windows media player to play films, it doesn't like some as it doesn't have the required codecs, try VLC it's open source, it's free and it will play any sort of video or sound file. : )
I've downloaded uTorrent 2.0.4, and I haven't the foggiest what to do with it, hehe.
Think I might have cracked it
Wow Bubbelgum, you are a whizz with all things techy...I'm so impressed and will be following your links to catchup sites.

Did anyone watch last Monday ITV, a 2 part drama, DCI Banks, I think it was called. I missed a bit of the beginning, then fell asleep before the end, waking up just as credits were rolling!!!
Am I able to watch that again Bubblegum do you think? 2nd part Monday, so ideally I'd like to catch up before then. Thankyou in advance.
Is this it?
Yes, that is it I think. Well done Bubblegum!
I watched the programme on Monday night, it was quite good, not brilliant but worth watching. Hope you can view it Ok from Bubblegum's link
Thankyou Bubblegum, am watching it now.
Thought I'd enjoy a little light watching, before I tackle the ironing, hehe.
x
Hi Bubblegum
Did you ever see Inside I`m dancing?
It was on ITV3 very late on Thurs morning, had me laughing and sobbing all at the same time, should have been on much earlier in the day so we could all have seen it
I've not seen it, but it looks good so I'm going to download it and see : )
Hi Bubblegum
I thought it was brilliant, hope you enjoy it too
I'm going to watch it later : ) I like that chap whos in it James McAvoy, have you seen Atonement? great film.
Hi Bubblegum
Not sure if I have, I watch a lot of films/dramas I will google it and see if it rings any bells
There was another really good drama on last Wed night, I tend to only watch tv very late at night(insomnia)it was about gangs in London, there was a police pathologist in it who had to do community service for a drink drive offence, I cant remember what it was called or even the channel it was on although I think it was on watch, it was very realisitic and well worth watching if you can find it
That film was beautiful tiredmum, thanx for telling me about it.
: )
I have not seen Atonement, but James McAvoy is excellent in The Last King of Scotland (which is a great film, but gory and not suitable for when the kids are around)
I liked that film too, I think if you like an actor it makes films that are basically a bit crap good, Bruce Willis being a case in point for me, he stars in lots of typical bloke films but I like them cos he makes them for me, well apart from The Untouchables which was abysmal, 5th Element and Twelve Monkeys are good : )
I don't stop my kids from watching adult rated films not unless they involve some sort of sexual violence, my son watched 28 days later with me and loved it, he was a bit concerned about zombies after and always asks me before we watch a film now if it has zombies in it, it scared him a bit but then he wanted to watch the sequel with me : )
His favourite adult film is Pracilla queen of the desert and my daughter really loved Mama Mia : )
I think it is up to individual parental choice. Some children are fine with quite adult things at a young age; my youngest was quite "scared" of normal children's films until an older age.
Hi Bubblegum
Glad you enjoyed the film, I thought it was very moving.
Did you watch "on the streets" it was a documentary about homeless people in London, excellent tv, it was on BBC4 late last night but had been on a couple of days ago, I only caught the last half hour the 1st time but was able to watch the whole thing last night.
I'm reading this at the moment.. it's good : )
Hi Bubblegum
I will have to get a copy, I do read a lot and this sounds like my kind of book, thank you
Bubblegum, you never cease to amaze me with the things you find. I am still enjoying watching the Tv catchup site that you found last week.
