Find our new list of useful Books for You with support and information for life after divorce or separation, how to help the children cope and how to move on with your life.
Of course there are many out there, but these are a few that have been recommended to us, although One Space does not necessarily endorse them.
If you have read any of them, please feel free to write your comments below, as this may prove useful to others, whether you found them informative or useless!
Alternatively please share any other books that you have found helped changed your life or supported you through the process of parenting alone.
We look forward to hearing your views
Hi Are there any books around that present the issues of disability and awareness of people who could be described as "different" in an informative and interesting way to engage youngsters.
Yes I think there are a few.
Here is one about autism, and here is another about children with mobility difficulties, for example. Have you found some yourself as well?
Hello everyone,
I second the recommendation for the book by Louise Hay 'You can heal your life'. Louise has based it on Law of attraction in a sense, which got me interested in other books related to Law of Attraction, like 'Ask and it is Given' by Esther and Jerry Hicks. Found it a bit hard to understand in some areas, and some might say its not realistic, but the positive thinking aspect of it is helping me! Also another very good book I have read is 'Tiny Buddha - Simple Wisdom for Lifes Hard Questions' by Lori Deschene, she also has a website called Tiny Buddha which is very good I have these all on the kindle, and definitely recommend them
I don't read books but I took advice to read this .. Why does he do that? By Lundy Bancroft
inside the minds of angry and controlling men
its second to my freedom prorgan book You can get it from eBay for a few pounds it really helps you understand why he does what he does
if you have been in an abusive relationship then it's highly recommend x
Thanks for both those posts, I reckon personal recommendation is much better than the official advert for a book, as it is more realistic
Thanks Anna, look forward to hearing about books people have found helpful
