I have recently challenged local authority that all reports made about a service user should be accurate and factual under the Data protection Act 1998.
The ammount of people i have come accross stating their reports were misleading / evidence fabricated / ommitted etc
has anyone else had the same experience
Hi Paul980
Ive only just seen your post, would have replied much earlier. Yes have had experience that most of what Social services write is incorrect, misleading and downright untrue. I am in Bristol, where are you? I will also be challenging local authority and reporting to GSCC but unfortunately I do have a life as well, have found that they make it difficult to obtain records even though they are legally obliged -- they lied about that too, a STUDENT social worker told me that she had to be present while I viewed file and that I wasnt allowed copies. I do not think parents should have to deal with Bristol childrens 'services' telling lies about them.
Hi paul980
Can you expand and tell me service users of which service?
