Hi All
I joined this website last week and to be honest I am having serious trouble working my way around it. I wrote up something about joining and introducing myself and I have had notification that lots of you have replied but do you think I can find your comments?......... Sorry but I cant work this one out!!
Yes! it was so much better in the good old days, with the old forum, so much easier to get around and navigate. I've tried, really I've tried to like the new layout but there are just little niggly things* that hinder my interaction with it.
I still come here though :)
*Right click Spell Checke in chrome! and how do you unsubscribe, indavidualy, from posts you've comented on?

I have emailed Sam about the spellchecker. If you want no notifications of individual posts, rather than no notifications whatsoever, wait till you get a notification about the post you want to disable and there should be a link in there. Well, that's what worked for me.

Hi bubblegum, I am in your camp with the old phpbb site, but hey ho, we have to move with the times. I will prompt our tech whizz about the spell check and definitely get it on.
We don't want to alienate you bubbs! 
No! I'm like you, moving with the times : ) though maybe with just a hint of Meldrew.
Still... I have been merrily clicking on the links in the emails that Louis mentioned but 'the day time chat' thing and 'the introduce yourself' thing just wont go away : )
I know right! I keep telling our guy, but for some reason there is a glitch with those. I keep getting them too.
There have been quite a lot of behind the scenes work going on to improve the site features and functions and I know this is on the list of 'things to do', so hopefully eventually it will be dealt with.

You should be able to click on the link on the emails to see your post. However if you can't....here are some instructions
Sign in
Click on Your Talk (this is towards the top of the page, in a line with other things like Your Life, Your Children)
Then on the left of the next page, click on Dicussions, at the top of the menu list
You will then get a list if topic areas. Click on the second one, Separation and Divorce, and then you can look at the list of threads in that section, look at the top one, and click on it, your post is on page four of that thread, OK?
