I am looking for a mother and daughter to share a 3 bed house in Brockley, (SE London), from 1 August 2014 and thought that I'd just see whether anyone looking at this site was interested.
My daughter is a fun loving, adventurous little 5 year old and I am a creative, enthusiastic 33 year old. In our spare time we make the most of the free London museums, beautiful parks and on really rainy days stay in and cook, draw or dance - sometimes we do all three (not at the same time).
During the week I work full time, (but three days from home), and so life is fast paced but rewarding. Luckily I have found a brilliant childminder on the same street and she is always ready to help me out and keep everything together.
For the last couple of years, we have rented a lovely period, terraced 3 bedroom house a stones throw from the tube station in Brockley with another mother and daughter (now 4 years old). The girls have shared a room and have benefited from the company of another child almost as sisters would.
This means that both parents have their own room, which I always felt was important and everything has worked well up until this point, but things change and my current housemate needs to move back to be near her family.
If you are interested in sharing our house - email me a.s.a.p! Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi,
Yes - it is a great idea if you find the right person to share with. There's an old article: http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2009/sep/26/single-parent-flatshare that sums it up well.
Great that there are sites like this so you can get your message out there without spending a fortune.
Fingers crossed the right person will respond in time.
Hi houseshareEm
How are you? How is the flatshare search going?
Have you seen this post Single Parent flatshare, a journalist looking for people just like you!
Hi houseshareEm, this is becoming more and more popular, wishing you luck with your search.
Is anyone interested?
