Any experts on the T&C's expulsions from school on here?
Urgent thanks

My son is with a foster carer and i have just learnt through facebook that he has been excluded from school without warning to either the ex or myself

I am sure this is an illegal move by the school

Hi Pash02

The normal process would be to notify the parents that a child is being excluded from school, it sounds like your situation is abit different in that your child is in foster care, the school would have notified them as they have day to day care at the moment.

You probably should have been told by your Social Worker that he had been excluded, do you still have Parental Responsibility?

Yes i have PR

school has just tried to fob me off but i have now reminded them of their legal duty to inform me as i have PR.

 I also have spoken to someone at Children services who told me what is going on after i spoke to the Independant reviewing officer and got involed.

It is now sorted i hope :)
