Final Hearing

Hi Guys, Thanks for all your kind words yeasterday.

Court yesterday - well if it werent so tragic it would have been hilarious! Honestly if it could have been filmed it would be a best seller.

Firstly ex turns up minus his solicitor stating he is now represnting himself. He must have watched too many episodes of law and order because the way he was talking was a joke. He then presented lots of 'exihibits' referred to as exhibit A,B, C to I for which he was imeediately told off as you can present new evidence on the day like that. He took no notice and wandered round the room giving them out anyway. Exihibit D was a letter from son's mum who he was with before me (and whom he has 12 convitions against and went prison 2 years agao for assaulting) in this letter from 'her' she stated my ex should have contact for the sake of her son and that although my ex had been violent to her she feels she did provoke him at times and that she did not believe I am being honest about my ex's behaviour towards me! (about as belivable that she wrote that as I am the pope!)

All of his exhibits were noted but deemed innappropriate in the case. My ex spent 1 1/2 hours cross examining the cafcass officer for which he was repeated told to "ask questions, not make statements" but he continued and the whole room was perplexed. In the end the magistrates stopped my ex's cross examination as he was being totally innappropriate, irrelevenat and repetitive.

As for my turn he cross examined me for well over an hour for (I DIDNT CRY!!!!!!) in which the magistrates then made him stop as again he was was making statements and accusations instead of asking me questions. Some of his questions were;

"is it not the case you are a bare-faced liar?"

"Rather than, as your doctor states you have severe anxiety and depression, would it not be more accurate to say you are a drama queen?

"is it not true you cheated on me throughout our relationship?"

"I put it to you, miss ****, that you are revelling in today's events as it is giving you the attention you so crave?"

It really was ridiculous. The magistrates only question to me was "are you afraid of him?" I nodded.

At which point my blurted out their is no reason I should be fearful I am the love of his life. He then said he knows where I live and where my boyfriend lives and that angel attends ***** school. Asked how he knew this he says he received a copy of the SS report and he then quoted from the report. I immediately burst in to tears  (HE SHOULD NEVER HAVE RECEIVED THIS REPORT I WAS ASSURED THIS WOULD NEVER HAPPEN) The case was immediately adjourned.

I contacted womens aid immediatelyand they are still investigating his claims he received the report as he is unable to show evidence of it.

When we went back in to court The magistrates summed up my ex to behaved in a concerning manner in court and they said there was to be NO ORDER FOR DIRECT OR INDIRECT CONTACT indefinately  My ex threw his chair back and stormed out and then the magistrates ordered the court to provide me with some kind of document to present to angels school as they felt he was threatening. I have dropped angel off this morning and given the court instruction that angel is to be kept from her dad at alll times and they assure me they will keep an extra eye on her.

In summary - IT'S OVER! That man is no longer allowed in angel's life yipeeeee!
