I am a single parent struggling to finish my MSc. I have Chosen to do a project about single women who have adopted or tried to adopt a child. I would really appreciate the help of women who have gone through this process. It would be totally anonymous and would only involve a phone conversation. Yes I agree that there are a lot of children in care who would be overjoyed with a permanent loving home. We hear a lot about couples adopting and not much about single women adopting which is why I am trying to do this research.

Yes that's a good idea-I will try them too. Only need a few people and it is proving to be quite a challenge...
thats interesting, as iv'e often wondered for the future about myself adopting/fostering. Since having my child, i see the need for love towards children, and there's some out there who (for whatever reason) don't have the love they deserve. I havent adopted or tried to adopt as of yet mind.
