Hello,
I am a single mum with three year old twin boys, one of whom has cerebral palsy. I have been a single parent ever since they were born when their father left; I was in a relationship for two years subsequently but sadly he also left and so it is back to being just the 3 of us once more. Its been that way now for about 7 months and I cant see it changing any time soon!
I work full time, some days at home and family are 70 miles away. My boys are my world and I love them dearly but life is a challenge at times juggling everything and sometimes a little lonely!! I just wanted to say hello and hopefully meet others experiencing the same or similar situation and to share advice really! Im new to this site but already it looks as though there is a lot of useful information available.

Welcome to One Space! Yep, you sure do have your hands full, what with work and the boys. What sort of work do you do? I became a single parent when my boys were eight and three and have always worked so I have some idea of the issues with childcare and juggling things round.
There is indeed lots of information here and also lots of friendly support with anything from major issues to day to day worries.,
Sounds as if it would help you to make some local friends/contacts too, even if it is for babysiting to give you a break!

Well done for managing twins on your own! You sound like you have a lot on and not a lot of support locally, your doing very well to manage it all. I only have one child and when I was working full time I found it a struggle but my mum is very close by. Sorry you feel lonely at times but this site is brilliant for sounding off and getting to know others. I wish you well and hope to see you on here regularly x
