I am L & I have a 6 year old daughter. We live in devon. Her dad is Brasillian & we see him twice per year.
i have struggled with feeling isolated & unsupported for years & overwhelmed with parenting a demanding, intelligent child.
Last year I started parenting training & I haven't looked back since. I am learning how to get the support & information I need to make this work, & I understand all the off-track behaviour & what I can do about it, how to deeply connect & nourish my relationship with my daughter. I have moved away from rewards & punishments & naughty step & moved towards listening & play & setting limits. Most of all it is about connection. Best of all it works & makes me feel good & it's long lasting.
So one of my reasons for joining this group is to find support when I need it.
I look forward to meeting some of you in this forum.

As a single parent, you are welcome to One Space in your individual capacity. There is lots of support and information on here. We know that parenting alone can be challenging, to say the least!
