You need to ask at the court office as to the consequences of not attending, lonelygal
ok i will ring tues morn but i have to be there 9;30 am and courts dont open till 9am do they
Oh the case is on TUESDAY!? Oh poor you, I don't know what to suggest, sorry. When were you told about the court date? They should have given you some more notice!
Hi. If the court appearance is so early, maybe go there, get a letter of some sort to prove to the job centre, that you had to appear. What time is the appointment at job centre? Like Louise says, speak to the manager also at the job centre. Good luck.
hi court and my appointment wif jc are at the same time i have rung the local police station they sed all i can do is ring court at 9am tomorrow x
Hi lonelygal, i hope you have managed to speak to someone at the job centre this morning and your appointment has been rearranged.
Good luck today with court, it is a very uncomfortable experience, I hope that you have support with it.
Let us know how your day went.
Hello lonelygal, have you had a word with the solicitor? (if you have one) If not, you need to get in touch with the court office as soon as it opens on Tuesday morning (unfortunately you have not got much time now) to see if the case can be held later in the day on the listings, probably not but in any case you need to get a letter from them saying that you are in court, to give to the Job Centre. At the same time, contact the manager of the Job Centre and explain that you have been told to go to court on that day and what your adviser has told you. It is a shame that there is so little time left now as it would have been easier to do something if you had had more notice
