Hello all,

Can anyone please share some knowledge and advice on how can I plan a holiday to Disneyland Orlando as a single parent of a 2&1/2 yr boy. He absolutely adores Mickey Mouse.

Any suggestions and advice will help me greatly.

Tx in advance.

Hi chuma

I reckon the first thing is to make sure you can afford the trip!! I was never able to fund such a holiday but we were very lucky that a family member paid for us to go to Disneyland Paris for two days when my boys were younger and to be honest your son would enjoy this just as much, especially at his age. If money is not an issue then what I would suggest is going on an online holiday forum such as Trip Advisor and they have discussions on there with people who have been.

Hoping you have a great time, whatever your plan Laughing

Totally agree with Louise. Took my 3 year old daughter to Disneyland Paris. She loved it. Me too!!! At that age I think the journey to Orlando is too long and too expensive. We had a great time on the Eurostar. The journey itself is exciting for kids.

Hi chuma, would you consider visiting the Disneyland in Paris?

It would be cheaper, the journey shorter and your son would never know it wasn't USA, but he would still get to see Mickey!

What do you think?

I think at that age they would prob be to young to remember Orlando, would be better to spend that kind of cash on a holiday at around 6-7 years old.

I just recently took my 1 year old abroad for the first time on my own. Firstly I would suggest activitys for the plane (Orlando is roughly 8hours away so u will need ALOT of things lol) I downloaded some kids tv shows to my phone which she just sat and watched and read her some books.

while away stick to  a proper diet will keep your little one on track and plenty of fluids due to the sun.

try to stick to your normal bed time routine , even though you will be on holiday and both excited your little one still needs normal routine so their body clock doesn't get thrown of track, if you plan to peat out at night- bath little one first then dress in nice Pj's - this way if he/she falls asleep they can go straight into bed wman you get  back to hotel.

finally - plenty of photos :)

Aww, where did you go Tinkerbell?

When my daughter was teeny we went to Portugal and one of my favourite things was bathing her before we went out eat and then her being in her pj's and falling asleep in her buggy Laughing

Ahhh happy memories :)
