well i finally done it i left him.but now im in trouble . i dont have where to go i was already to get some advice and now waiting for appoitment with some adviser. i dont have any money and he have put me in debt.he put my name and his name on the bills and never paid for them he told me that he is taking care of that but before i left what was the last thing what made me to go was that i found out that he just lies about everithing he havent paid any bills so becouse my name was on them im in debt too.just to let you know im not working im full time mother to my beutiful baby girl G .all i get is £38 paonds child tax credit(weekley) and 81.00 pounds cb (pm) and thats all he never give me any money for anything so i couldt pay anything becouse all this money go for my baby nappies and aother baby things.somethimes i needed go true a times when i dont have anything to eat myself coz he have gambel all his money (and that money he gets not bad ) i dont know what to do. now im staying at my friends but her boyfriend already starting to telling me that i have to go becos he cant sleep coz of my baby.i dont know how this happend how i was that stupid all the time forgive him all the time i belive him all that was lies .

yes it is with citizens advice.i hade drop in appoitment when they they told me that i cant apply for income support until i have where to live.so now everithing on hold until i have appoitment with them again and until i get an address where to live.
You can go to your local housing office and tell them your situation they may help depending on your circumstances

Imdoingthis is absolutely right, your next step is to contact your local housing office and see what they can do to help you. Go to Google and put in your area ie 'Birmingham local housing office'
You might also want to contact our Expert on Housing, although I imagine you are wanting answers quickly, so contact Shelter (click and you will find lots of information on homelessness), you can call them free on 0808 800 4444 from 8am - 8pm every weekday.

thanks anna do u know if i need book appoitment with housing office(coucil) or i just need go there and they will help me without appoitment?
I would give them a call first, but if you don't get much information, then just go straight down, it sounds as though you are coming very close to not having a roof over your head if your friends boyfriend wants you out.
Have you rung Shelter, you could do that tonight and see what they say, they are great!

In my experience you just turn up take a ticket and wait your turn, then you get to tell your circumstances to to a housing officer, The sooner you go the better as if they can help you they will start looking for you

Thanks IDT, it has been 19yrs since I was in that position and I wasn't sure if things had changed.

You have an appointment to see an advisor' what is this in connection with? Is it at the Citizen's Advice? Hopefully they will be able to help. The first two things you need to do are to apply for Income Support and find accommodation, and you will also be able to apply for houisng benefit to help with the rent.
