Intl Magazine looking for single parents affected by child benefits cuts

Hi there,

We are an influential international weekly news magazine and we are doing a story about the budget cuts in UK.

I am looking for people who will be negatively affected by these cuts for case studies: single parents in London who will lose part of all of their child benefits and think this will seriously impact their lives. If you think you fit the profile and would like to share your story, please write to t.t.favaro@lse.ac.uk

Hello tfavar

Which benefit losses do you mean? There are no plans to cut Child Benefit apart from for those on a substantial income, as far as I know. Do you mean the cuts in Housing Benefit or do you mean that single parents now have to move to Job Seekers Allowance once their youngest child is seven? If you are talking about the proposed new Universal Credit system, that is not due to come until October 2013.
