Hi. For all of those with younger children, I found this website last year for my son. It's free for an e.mail from Father Christmas, but I think you have to pay for a reply in the post.

here

My 8 year old has sent his, ahhhh bless.

AWWWW! I would have loved that when mine were younger. Asda used to do a service at that time, I don't know if they do it now?

Hi there, just saw this topic. I support the NSPCC and they will send your child a letter from Santa at Christmas, with a suggested donation on £5 to their charity! It looks very charming!

Hi

When  my eldest two were tots I was lucky enough to have a penpal who lived in iceland and she used to write a letter from Santa to them for me and along it came in the post by airmail with an Iceland stamp and postmark and they were so trilled!

I have just done it, and C is absolutely gobsmacked. It's fantastic. He got quite emotional watching the video, completely amazed at how Santa knew what his favourite colour is, the pics of him, in fact everything. What a lovely thing for the kids to get and keep.

I have sent one to my eldest (aged 21). The 16 year old would pour scorn on it but his big brother will love it.

It is one of the best things I have come across and have used it for about 3 years now.  It keeps the magic of Christmas doesnt it.

I am not sure how long you can view the video for after Christmas(I do know the site does get taken down at some point) so it may be worthwhile trying to disc a copy to keep Smile

I`m glad you have all enjoyed them as much as we have.

I did one this evening for my 2 year old grandson, his little face was a picture when Father Christmas knew his name, we had to play it again for him.

Also did one for my 9 year old son, he is at that point where he isnt quite sure what to believe, the video has him convinced that Father Christmas does exsist, to the point that he got all emotional and had a cry, it was so sweet!!!!!!!!Smile

Thankyou for that Bubblegum. How are you and the kids? Are you all sorted for xmas? Will you be at your sisters for the day or do you have other plans for just the three of you?

I'll be at my sisters : ) no cooking, no cleaning, just eating and drinking free food and drink, well actually I have to bring my own drink as my sisters sometimes seemingly limitless generosity doesn't stretch far enough to satisfy my Christmas wine intake.

I've got the kids presents sorted, dance mat, scetchpads, notebooks, pens, Magworriors (god knows why but they love them) and Lego Universe. I've learnt over the years that they have to have exactly the same things, or at the least one thing they can share.

I'll get a few bits and pieces for a stocking as and when I see them about : )

And I've promised to get them some games from Steam when they have their Christmas sale as games go for as little as a couple of quid... and they have an endless list of wants when it comes to games.

I was asking my kids about father Christmas the other day and my son informed me that he knew that father Christmas was me : ) I asked him but what about when we take you to see him at the guarden center and he replied that that was just a man in a father christmas costume, he could tell because his beard was quite obviously fake.

: )

Oh yes, and I hate the three for two offers - I have four children, so inconvenient - however, this year, any surplus is going in one of my two stockings...

Hahha I am glad you have got two stockings for yourself. The BOGOF offers would be better for you. I get mine the same number of things and some will be similar eg each got a pair of novelty pants in their stocking, but they will be different designs. I don't really think have I spent exactly the same amount of money on each of them.

Bubblegum, your son is very wise.....
