Hi there im a single mum of 1, a wee boy who is 5. i have just been made redundatnt and live in Glasgow. i have never not worked since i was 15 so i have no idea what to do. and what benefits i can claim. i still live at home with my parents but i still need to pay rent and pay for my own food and bills etc. I have no idea how im going to cope. I need to know what benefits im entitled to. Please help as im stressing out.

May I suggest that you contact One Parent Families Scotland who have a free helpline - 0808 801 0323 - open Mon - Fri - 9.30 - 4.30.
As I believe that entitlements are different in Scotland than in England.
