hi,
my name is Y i was with my ex partner for 4years it was a good relationship a bit at the start until i found out i was pregnant with my oldest son who is 2 years old now my ex partner quickly changed he drank all the time and took drugs which made him quite possesive and strict which upset me a lot beacuse i wasnt used to situations like that before.my ex partner was brung up too think that being that way with women was the norm!and about just under a year ago i had my second son and things got even worse with my ex partner he drank more and more and took more and more drugs too he would shout at the kids when they got up during the night for a bottle or too get there nappy changed.he would blame me for not doing anything for him when i was doing everything for the kids which is what a mother is supposed to do but in october one night at 12midnight the kids got taken from us by social services i have since december left my ex partner and i have worked hard to get my kids back since then and i have been granted my kids back in 8weeks time which i am extatic about beacuse i love my kids with all my heart.
Hi
I hope the 8 weeks fly by and the children are back with you
Hello and welcome to One Space. I have edited out your real name as we ask you to keep things anonymous, ok
I am delighted to hear that you are able to get fulltime care of your children once more, high five to you for working so hard with the authorities to make sure this happens.
Am I right in saying that it was their dad that social services had the issue with and, if so, is he also going to be able to have time with them once they are settled again with you?
I am wondering about some support for you, it sounds like what was going on resulted in you being subjected to abuse, have a look at our Freedom Programme course (click blue link) as this will help you sift through what has happened and make plans for moving forward
Hi. That's great news about your children. A big well done too, for breaking away from your ex.
i am happier now than i ever have been!
