No, I haven't bought one on ebay!
Are you going to turn out to watch the torch in your area? I definitely would like to, as it seems to me that this is a historic occasion, and I am just sad that so many children will be at school....so do you think the schools will take them to see it, or is it a bit of a damp squib?
See this page to find out when you can watch it in your area. There's a search facility on the right hand side of the page. I am loving the idea that different One Spacers around the country will see the torch!!!!
Awwww. I can't stand up for long either, my back hurts too much. I have a fold -up camping stool in the boot of the car and my cunning plan is to take that under my arm.
Torch will be coming through here, but I am not sure where I'll be then! If I am here, I'll go and see, I think. Might be the torch goes past the school, but am not sure.
I think it it quite a momentous thing but I wondered if I was getting a bit carried away!
I think its momentous too. I just hope there is a way I can get to see it even if the children choose not to come.
Now its sunny, perhaps the excitement will build up again.
On a different topic, we delivered letters to all the houses on the estate asking about a Big Lunch as its Jubilee year. One person has offered to make cakes... No other responses.
I think us Welsh can be pretty dull at times!
Unfair comment above. Us people who live in Wales can be pretty dull at times.
I'm Welsh, and I'm not dull...
No your not dull your sparkling
Sparkling you are the OPPOSITE of dull
I think that there can be a disappointing reponse to community things sometimes and that is a real shame as I am sure that our children would all benefit from community involvement!
I'll be stubborn and eat a sandwich in the front and FORCE the children to have a picnic on the hill even if its raining perhaps not if its raining...!
Heh heh, an ENFORCED picnic
I thought the torch coming through was momentous, I was hoping to see it, but I was away - I got a text from my friend though who went along and SHE HELD IT!!!
I was planning on going to a friends street party for the Jubilee, but my daughter has just announced that Pixie Lott is singing in the millenium square - so I am divided!
I have a feeling it may be a damp squib here, although if we have a chance we will. I can't stand for long now, so would need to park up and watch - which, having been watching it on the tele, won't be possilbe, I don't think.
We were excited when we first saw the list, but exams have dulled things....
