So,
we're going away today on our own, me and my little boy. ONlye for the weekend, but i am actually scared. Ive done it before, a year ago and it felt amazing when i had doen it.
Basically, i was hoping for some support and when i get back, i'll let you know how i got on!
I ofetn find, being a single parent, its these things such as holidays/birthdays/christmas etc that can be the hardest. But, i am detremined to do it and i am detremined to have a good weekend ... whatever the weather ;)
Anyone else gone on hliday alone with child/ren?
I used to have the odd weekend away with my four - when the travelodge did the £10 a night offer. It was nice to have a change of scenery.

Ooh pink lilly one of the first things I did after my split was to take my boys to a caravan for a few days. It felt like a real milestone that I wanted to achieve: the organising, the drive there, the getting out and about as a single parent family unit. It felt so good when I had done it!!

Scary, daunting, but feels oh so good afterwards! I am wondering if you have already left as you posted this morning?
Any how my top tips would be: Take each moment as it comes, try not to overthink or overplan, just let whatever happen happen.
As long as you know how to get to your accommodation and how to get transport home, then everything else just flow.
Take nibbles for the journey as this keeps little ones occupied and breaks up a long journey, along with a couple of favourite books & toys. Look out of the window, play eye spy, sing songs
Above all, enjoy yourself, this is your holiday and when Mum is relaxed and happy (not stressed) our children are too.
I really hope you have a super time and look forward to hearing all about it.
