Hi. I am new here and looking to share a home with another lone parent. I cannot seem to find any website or forum or support group that advertises this.
I live in london and this is the only way I would be able to survive. Any help advise gratefully received....
Hi CherryJam
Have a look at this post 'Single parents living together in London', it gives the same link as Louise gives above plus a couple of articles.
I have just had a look at the link that Louise posted, however the website seems to be down at the moment. Not sure why, but keep checking back as it may well only be for a couple of hours/days. The website address was: www.movethat.co.uk, so you can keep checking, click on London, then Forum, then Single Parents.
It was for single parents looking for house share in London, which I think is a fab idea. How old are your children?
Hi again, hopefully the site won't be down for long, it was working this morning when I looked
Thank you so much for that information. My daughter is 7. I will look at the site now.
Yay! It is back up again, I think it is brilliant, how have you got on CherryJam, did you find anything worth following up?
Hello, thank you so much for that contact, but nothing has come of it so far!!
Fingers crossed............
Hi CherryJam I am surprised how many people are looking to share, do you know where abouts in London you want to be?
Yes, Richmond/Kew/Sheen/mortlake area. Thanks Ellen
Hello CherryJam
I found this on the internet, cannot comment on how good a site it may be, as I have not used it myself, but see what you think. The usual cautions apply, for example make sure you read the site's section on "Safety" and I would suggest checking out potential flatmates very carefully, especially as your child is involved.
Hope this is helpful
