Hi
New on here so I have no doubt this is a bit of an old chestnut! I have agreed Maintenance payments with my ex for our 3 children using the calculato on the CSA website. My question is what does this money cover? For example does it cover clothing? New winter coats being the current point of debate!
Cheers

Hi Connolly and welcome to One space,
You can check out this link and if you still have some quiries about what maintenance payments are meant to cover you could contact our CSA expert
Let us know how you get on.
At the end of the day, it goes towards the cost of a child.
However, shoes and winter coats take a big chunk of the budget.
I know that we all need to live, but these things are a big chunk out of anyone's budget. I hope you can, as happy mamma says, come to some compromise. And I do hope that she's being reasonable with you...
i get twenty pound a MONTH for two little ones who are growing fast
so this is five pounds a week which doesnt even get me a pack of nappies! its a joke
Hi Connolly
Well its meant to cover all aspects of expenses however I doubt there are many out there who pay anywhere near enough to cover these. I get £30 a week for a 16yr old son who is size 12 feet 6'3 and my ex lies about his income.
I know my new partner pays his ex for 1 child, he also pays half towards her uniform and buys his own seperate birthday and christmas presents. When she asked him to pay for her passport and holiday abroad its stopped there. Also the price of school uniform dropped when I said he was having the micky taken and asked for receipts.
If you both get on and play fair Im sure you can work something between you. My ex tells everyone I go on holiday with his money - no thats called working full time including some weekends and every penny goes on my son.
