B&Q
On my way to my Aunt's I went to B&Q. Children were with me - I've got one of those paint pods as they were half price and I've been hankering after one for ages (probably to stick in the cupboard with the sewing machine I bought in Lidls 4 years ago...). I used birthday money I had from my sister last year!
Beyonce was playing on the radio "I'm a single lady" as i parked up. I do silly dances and silly singing - children are used to this. So there I was doing my silly dancing (while sitting in the car!), including some of the actions. Children killing themselves laughing, my son with special needs stuck his head down his jumpers... and this bloke was watching. He just stood by his car.
I got out and said what's the point having children if you can't embarrass them a bit 'haha'.
He didn't laugh. He didn't even smile.
Waiting for someone to come knocking at the door.
hahahaha!!!
Ha ha ha, kids are so funny! So your son wants you to take him out in the evening? He won;t once he has seen you in the night club with thigh high mini skirt and boob tube, stillettos and bacardi breezers!! Tee hee!! Well we should embarrass them shouldn't we!!
I truly think that embarrassing our teens must be one of our missions in life as parents! :o
Yes. It is payback time for all the sleepless nights and the sitting-on-barbed-wire-for-three-weeks-afterwards feeling. Fi x
I love to have a dance in the car when I'm in the car with the kids... whilst sitting at the lights of course.... at one set of traffic lights we were waiting at i had my girl friend in the front of car and kids in the back, we were listening to Queen - Don't stop me now... and we were all singing and bopping around to our hearts delight.... until we turned and looked at the car next to us and there was this woman sitting there laughing her head off!!! I think the shocked look on our faces made her laugh even more!
Another time I was waiting for my friend in tescos carpark and I started having a panic attack while I was waiting, with my kids in the back of the car. My hands started to cramp up and I when my son realised he said.. look over there mum and see those guys putting the trolleys away.. well think of them wearing pink tutus and doing ballet!!! That was it then... we were all in fits... he was only 6 at the time and so quick on the draw.. goodness only know where he came up with that but it sure snapped me out of it!!
I love these funny family moments, keep them coming!
My friend and I (and both our families) used to have this silly game where whenever we passed each other in the car/bus/on foot, the challenge was to point to them with your arm fully outstretched and shout "Point!" at the top of your voice, first before anyone in the other family did it. The number of times that has caused hilarity and shock to other people is innumerable, it reminds me of when Dick and Dom shout "Bogies!" :o

Oh sparkly you did make me smile  Shame it didn't have the same effect on that bloke! Funnily enough I was waiting in the car park for my son yesterday teatime, reading a book and blowing random raspberries (as you do!) Suddenly realised that there was someone standing at the next car and I had my window open, I hope she didn't think I had bad wind
I do think that kids really enjoy joining in this sort of thing as long as no-one can see them. My son asked me last week why I hadn't taken him in town one evening, I pointed out that he had said he was not prepared to be seen in town with me. He said "Yes, but only in DAYLIGHT"!
