A hilarious thing my child said.
Sat at the table eating dinner the other day and my daughter is explaining that she wants to play guitar in a band and she is telling me that I'm going to sing and her brother is going to play the drums. So I tell my son that I'll get him a drum kit for his birthday, one of those electronic ones so I can turn it down.. anyway.. he looks at me and says, no I want to be Penis!
I laughed, and so did my nephew who was there : )
what he meant, after trying to explain, was a pianist : )
It's not like he miss pronounced pianist or anything, he was actually saying penis, we checked, we kept asking him when we could breath through laughing, what do you want to be? and he had this sort of innocent look where he knew something was up (we were in hysterics) but he didn't know what he was saying wrong.
Anyway we explained to him what a penis was and what a pianist was eventually : )
Poor lad! The trouble is it would be impossible to keep a straight face :) My boy wanted to join a football team at a local village called Pannal. The team was actually called Pannal Panthers but he had misheard and asked if he could join the Pannal PAMPERS (like the nappies :lol: )
