Mad dogs..
Here's a thing, the children in my kids school, my two included, weren't allowed out today at dinner time as it was too hot, (eh?) So they stuffed them into the class rooms instead!
what's that all about then? the world has gone completely mad with ooohhhh!! save the children! they weren't allowed out at Christmas either when it snowed.... Why? because they (the teachers) didn't know what might be under the snow!
What's that?
Just felt he need to say that and I put it in the Just for Fun section as its a bloody laugh!
later.
"We used to work a 28-hour day at the mill AND pay the mill-owner for the privilege of coming to work"
Seriously, this is Health and Safety gone mad. They are scared a child may get sunburned.
re the snow, sparkling, my son's headteacher was appalled at how many children didn't make it to school on a couple of days last winter, despite the closure of the main road from Leeds and the suspension of our main bus route :?
No-one seems to use any common sense anymore (sigh)
I think it's so sad for the children.
Only 28 hours a day???!!!! ;)
yer I know. Part- timer!!!!!
They've not kept them in because of the heat - that does sound mad!
With the snow though (although we didn't get any here in the winter - how ever low it looked on the mountains), it did snow last winter, and I think it might have reached 1mm when they decided to close the primary school. I did point out that it would be melted within the hour (I think it took less), but nope, they closed the school. By the time I got back with the youngest, the rest had walked home from high school.
I remember the school closing once when I was in school - and that was the high school, and it was deep snow! Never remember it closing with primary.
There's just no fun nowadays.
