New baby

Hi, Im really sorry if I am posting this in the wrong section, I didnt really know where to put it :)

I am so happy today to have had my first scan for new baby, after alot of stress and upset over the last few months with my ex, the babys father, wanting me to end the pregnancy and the relationship ending after 7 years. Seeing the little heartbeat and the tiny little baby there makes me feel so happy and so glad that I didn't get pushed into an abortion that I didn't want to go through with.

Its sad that things have worked out the way they have but I am feeling very positive for the future and it was lovely showing my 10 yr old daughter the scan pictures when she got home from school today :) I am feeling so excited now!!

That is absolutely lovely, and I'm so happy for you. I can hear your excitement and happiness through your post, (if that makes sense). I'm sure your daughter is going to be thrilled to see the scan pic. Have a wonderful evening together,

Hi Hayley29
Wow I was wondering how your scan went. It is always so great to see the little thing moving around on the scan and to have a picture that you can take away and show people and look at whenever you need to is a real bonus. I am glad it has brought a smile to your face and your daughters face too no doubt.
Now you can really focus on the baby and keeping healthy and positive for the baby. Did you find out if it is a girl or a boy?

Thanks everyone for the replies :D

My daughter took the scan pic off to school today to show her friends like a proud big sister, I dont know if she will be able to come to the next scan, haha @ bust her out of school!!

I think I can find out if its a boy or girl at the next scan in march which I will be very eager to know. x x

Ohh let us know if you do find out the gender please? I found out with both of mine mainly so I could start planning with names and only have to concentrate on one set of names! But I also liked the fact that I could start thinking of the baby as a boy or a girl as early as possible! In both cases before I had the scan my instict as to what gender it is was totally wrong - so much for mother's intuition!
It would be lovely if your eldest could come to the next scan - what are your thoughts of busting her out of school?
