Today :-D
Twenty five years ago today I got married
Five years ago today I got divorced.
It so felt as if it was meant to be.
The children's father has chosen to see them this evening - he must be planning a celebration too :D
Sorry Sy, but I AM going to open the rose wine tonight.
**chink** Cheers
Congratulations sparklinglime.
I hope you have a super day. Are you able to pop out for the couple of hours your ex has the children? Meet up with a friend? Just thought as he has the kids you can celebrate by way of having a little bit of freedom!
I shall be going out to buy chocolates. Just had an email from my friend that I do Cubs with and she's going to come over and help celebrate! She's teetotal though, so I'm guessing the wine will have to wait!
I'll go back on the Slimfast tomorrow :D
I think it is fair enough if you have a drink, while she drinks tea, unless she feels very uncomfortable around alcohol.
Why don't you ask if she would mind if you had a tipple, this is your night after all! I am glad you are going to have company.
Ooohh what chocolates will you buy? Are you a Galaxy girl? or more Guylian??? :)
She won't mind if I have some wine.
I'm into Caramac at the mo  and also the Asda version of milky ways...
But now you've mentioned Guylian... I'll have to peruse the shelves and see what's there! I'll probably end up having toast!
Hi Sparkling
Have yourself a good evening, wine and chocolate is just what the doctor ordered. Good that ex is seeing the kids too.
Cheers. ;)

:)
So here I am on my own, drinking coke and watching the drizzle.
My friend is going to come over when it's sunny - and I don't blame her.
Need to get my son from work later. I can see the wine waiting for another day...
Have a drink when he gets back!!! I don't generally drink but after taking my daughter for her 1st day at school yesterday (lunchtime) I was walking back home and as I passed the pub my legs just went that way. So there I was at lunchtime on my own drinking alcohol having eaten nothing with tears in my eyes!! I did however have to walk her to school with HIM - the 3 of us hand in hand swinging her down the road - we must have looked like the perfect little family to anybody passing (which proves what Anna says to be true about all those 'happy' couples we see!!). So Indie looks up at her dad and says 'does this mean your coming back to live with us!' - he didn't know what to say!! poor little mite all confused again!! So you see I needed that drink
I don't blame your legs for changing direction!
I was so shocked when friends up the lane from us split at more or less the same time. She left as her youngest went to Uni. I saw her in town and we both told each other how shocked we were as we both thought the other couple were happy!
No one knows what goes on behind closed doors.
The first day is horrid. My eldest is coming up to 18 and my youngest is 10, and it's still horrid when they go back. Youngest is now in Year 6!! I'd been looking forward to it until it's come to crunch time! Always viewed it as coming up for 'me' to do things. Now with wonky leg, difficult to know what lies ahead now!
If we has some sunshine, I'm sure it would help!!
Sunshine helps everything!!
We have sunshine.
:)
yes it is lovely to see the sun :D
Sorry that the "first day" was so emotional, mousie :( , it will get easier.
Sparkling lime, I did not know that they still made Caramac, I remember that from when I was little (1803?)
Caramac
Eat it today wear it tomorrow.
:)
Bubblegum, they should employ you to write the slogans! ;)
:P :P (not sure what razz is, bit trying to pull tongues at bubblegum  )
:D
As for 1803 Louise...  Don't see them often, but the corner shop happens to have them... :)
Blimey, sparkling lime, they must be a bit past their sell- by date if they were made in 1803
 good for you Sparkling! enjoy!
