who are we
father/male / parent/dad/ i am lone parent of 3 children two boys one girl.
its good to talk they say?
is it me to go along to group?
I am a man. we dont do groups is that right?
I have no problem going to groups, I go to all I can find, I was bought up to not feel ashamed of showing my emotions and expressing myself. : ) I love sitting down and getting to know people and doing stuff. I previously lived in a small town called Llangefni and there was a lot going on there, where I am now there isn't much though, but I am surrounded by beautiful countryside :)

Hi seamus,
Welcome to One Space! whereabouts are you and how old is your daughter?
Hi seamus
Welcome to One Space! I see you posted your message at 4.33 am! Are you having trouble sleeping at the moment? How long have you been raising your daughter alone??
just joined here so thought i'd post and say hi.
I'm a 26 year old single dad of 2 from Reading, I have a daughter aged 21months and a son aged 5 months. There mother walked out on me 2 months ago for the second time, now she's moved on for the 4th time, planning to have kids with her new guy and get married next year, forgotten all about the kids she already has. I know its hard bringing up kids on your own, but personally I think its a lot harder for guys as we are kinda stigmatised as being worse parents on our own than women. Anyway, just wondering if there are any single parents in the Reading area that would like to meet up sometimes?
Hi LonelyDad
Welcome to Onespace! I can see that you are getting stuck in and seem to be finding your way around the site OK. It is good to have another dad on the site and I hope you are able to find the support you are looking for here. How did you come across Onespace?

My local Children's Centre does a Breakfast Club especially for dads. We get Health Visitor drop-ins, they get bacon butties!! :)
And there is one dad who comes along to Baby Massage with his missus and the baby. They each massage one side of the baby - which is still tiny. It's quite sweet really, even to an embittered old crazy like me. ha hahaa.
Thanks for that lindsaygii! yet more useful info being given out and shared.
Hope that helps?
Cheers C-L
Hi there multey 65
I think you have a point there, do men want to go to groups? Maybe they prefer to chat online, where they can be honest without feeling that they are letting their 'manliness' down. Do you think that is an issue?
