Actually thought my computer was playing up when I couldn't access the site! Enjoy your days off Louise. I hope you get some well earned rest (especially after the dunking you had yesterday hehe)

Hopeful, you're doing really well. Keep it up.

Friend popped round this evening. Not seen her for a while, so it was nice. C is so much better, just his sore throat, but I don't think a visit to GP is on the cards. Managed to catch up with some washing, which in turn leads to the dreaded I word (ironing) Am off to bed shortly, need to catch up with much needed sleep.

Helloooo everyone! Happy Easter Holidays! It sounds as though things weren't too bad on the whole, except for poor C, I am glad to hear that he is feeling much better hazeleyes.

I heard about the site being down, it was great that our technical team were able to sort it out, on a bank holiday too, now there's commitment. Smile

Hopeful, sounds like you are going strong, well done you, you are on the final stretch now Smile

Hazeleyes, every time you mention ironing, I sigh! I know that we have had this conversation before, but I am going to raise it again. Years ago a friend of mine asked me if i thought she and her daughter ever looked scruffy and I said No as I hadnt ever noticed and she said that she hangs all her clothes to dry on the horse jobby and never irons, just folds carefully. Since that day I have only ironed perhaps 5 things (for really posh occasions) and I swear no one notices, because once your body has heated your clothes, they are fine!!

I only repeat this because ironing used to be the bane of my life and now I am FREE and want to share the secret!!

sparklinglime, there are no crinkles, honestly, try it! The only things that would probably need an iron are school shirts if they aren't the polo ones, or blouses, other than that ..... nothing....honestly!

Wishing everyone a happy April, can't believe how quickly these months are flying by! Does everyone have sun today?

Hi Anna. Ironing is honestly the bane of my life. No kidding, I have tried the shaking when out of the machine, but it just doesn't look good. Lots of people I know don't iron, but the creases in C's school trousers and polo shirts look awful (dont want anyone talking about me hehe) A friend sent me some clothes over near to Christmas. Very lucky indeed. Her son's girlfriend's father had a shop, unfortunately he had to sell, so was more or less giving the stuff away. Friend picked me up some stuff (Ireland) and I don't iron any of thoseSmile

C is still thick in the throat, but doesn't hurt anymore, yeahhhhh. We've been shopping, and I got him a McDonalds, to make up for him not eating much over the last few days, awwwww.

Hope you're all okay. Beautiful with the sun shining, but cold out. Very windy.

Hi hazeleyes, great to hear from you!

After you have shaken the clothes out can you fold whilst 'hand ironing'? I am determined to get you doing less ironing as time goes by! Cool Although it does seem as though you are trying! ie the stuff from Ireland (hey that was a bit of luck!)

Glad you had a good day out and C is coping. It is such a beautiful day, I am inside with a radiator, but I believe you when you say it is cold!

Supposed to be going to the fair tonight - woohoo! Going to put on a pair of tights under my jeans and an wear an extra jumper!

Have a good evening everyone Smile

Hello,

Well my brother came on sunday and went home today. We had a lovely time but the children didn't gel too well. My eldest niece is vey bossy and picks on her sister a lot, my girls thought she was very mean and ended up bickering and arguing with her. Its nice now they've gone as peace has returned.

I've got the rest of the week off so looking forward to some relaxation.

Good morning one and all.

Pq, C is great thankyou. Still talking through a thick throat, if you know what I mean, but it's no longer hurting. He truely can talk for England, with or without a sore throat hehe. Yesterday on the bus, all I heard (well sort of, as I tend to switch off) was about the hedgehogs, and how they will be extinct soon, something to do with the cold weather/food etc. Like I said I switched off, and just saw his mouth moving lol. Sorry your brother isn't having a good time at home at the moment. I'm sure you had some great advice for him, or even listening to someone really helps doesn't it? How are the girls? Dare I mention the word behaviour (ducks out of sight)

Sparkling, how are you? Are you able to spend some of the holidays with the kids?

Louise, hopefully you're having a few relaxing days, putting your feet up etc.

Anna, ironing today (runs for cover) Friend is also colouring my hair, and hopefully a cut too. Really looking forward to it, as I look and feel a total wreck.

Waves to everyone else that pops into the chatroom. Hope you all have a good day.

Morning, the girls have been ok this week. I think being in the thick of their cousins bad behaviour has made them a bit more aware of the impact of their own bickering.

Its H's birthday tomorrow, she is pulling together all her money to buy an xbox. We're going into town to buy it today so she's very excited. Its a bit daunting as I'll have to set it up for her so hopefully we'll have all we need!!!

I iron everything hazeleyes, I've tried the shaking and folding technique too but it just didn't seem right to me.

Hello everyone visiting the chat room!

pq it sounds as though having the girls cousins over has been a blessing in disguise then! Perhaps when they start to bicker you could call them the names of their cousins (Wink) it will help them recognise their behaviour!

I hope H is going to have a good birthday, will the xbox be in her bedroom? Have house rules been ladi out regarding who gets to play on it when and for how long? It might be a good discussion before it enters your house, with both girls in attendance!

I bought the first xbox that came out years ago and set it up all by myself, it was surprisingly simple, but good luck!

hazeleyes, boys can be fascinating can't they! C sounds like he is really into his 'trivia', where does he learn this stuff!? I

hope you have an enjoyable hair session, it always feels soo good doesnt it Kiss Then you can spend the rest of the day indulging yourself in your ironing Innocent

Didnt get to the fair last night, got home and felt completely shattered! I was due to go with a couple of friends, but they didn't mind either, so I had a lovely bath, some left overs for dinner and watched the box - Fabulous!!Smile

I hope everyone is enjoying the longer evenings, I certainly am, we just need the warmth to pick up again too! Cool

Hope H has a lovely birthday tomorrow Pq. We haven't got one, but I remember my friend buying her son, same as C one. She had previously asked her older son if he too wanted one (xmas presents) he asked for something else. Don't want to put the cat among the pigeons here pq, but in friend's house, the rows were enormous. Eldest taking the xbox off younger one etc. I imagine if it's H's, then she has to be the one to give the say on when A gets to play on it? Wouldn't like to be in your shoes in the next day or two.

I think I jinx myself here when I mention the girls pq, and their rows. Everything has been tickety boo here, then an hour ago, it erupted. All because I told C I couldn't and wouldn't keep picking up after him, ie, dirty glasses/plates/pants left on the floor. Blimey, you'd think I was asking the impossible. He was in the bath at the time, reminded him to pull plug (as you do) did he do it? Nooooo. Sent him back in. Now he's waiting on mother dearest to get his clothes out. Will I do it? Nooooo. Let the battle begin hehe

Anna, he learns a lot from either reading or watching the news on the children's channel. His brain sucks it all in, whereas mine rejects anything trying to get in lol. Your evening sounded nice. Fair would have been too cold.

i am child free this week,  so have been putting in lots of extra hours at work. For the first time in six months the  cleaner will actually be able to clean my desk tomorrow. We'll probably have to hospitalise her due to shock. I went to see We Will Rock You at the weekend and it was awesome. I could have watched it all over again when it had finished.

I hope H has a good day tomorrow pq.  I'm glad you had a good time with your brother.

I'm working this week, so not seen much of the children really.  Went out with daughter yesterday and bought her a pair of jeans, as she's lost weight (such a relief and she's done so well).  Only a cheap pair mind, but they look very nice on - so saggy bottom!!  Boss was out, so didn't finish early today to get as much work out the way.  Colleague has suggested I have Friday off, which I will do, as I need to go in at the weekend to do the year end (set up new payroll for next week up last weekend).

So tired when I got home I had to have a granny nap.  Goodness knows what I'll be like if I ever do become a granny.

Oldest is back with the girlfriend - although only as friends (yeah, right), so he's back to not being around.

Seventeen year old has gone out with the camera, and was told to be back by the time its dark - and he isn't!  And its almost my bedtime Laughing

I hope you're ok looby...

I hope C's behaving hazeleyes.

I hope everyone is ok

Morning one and all, I am back and full of zippy-de-doo-dah! How is everyone? You all seem to have been busy in the holidays.

PQ, hope H has a lovely birthday, I had a system for the X Box where the boys got tokens every week, each token worth half an hour and they had to "buy" time on it. Harder to regulate if in the bedroom. I totally like the idea of calling either of your girls by the name of their bossy cousin if needed, we parents need to use every tool in the box, and this could be a way of using humour Wink

Glad C is better, Hazeleyes though it sounds as if you need earplugs now. C sounds very much like my eldest, I always used to giggle to myself that when he got in full flow on a topic, I could leave the room, do several jobs then return to the room and he was still talking, having not even noticed I had left. He was a great reader too, well he still is.

Sparkling, Friday off sounds goodSmile Your daughter has done well with her weight loss and I bet she likes her new jeans. Oh the thing about your eldest being "just friends" with the girl...hmm we had that too, it usually means nothing much has changed, doesn't it?

Looby you have had some time to relax. The blanket sounds a lovely idea. Did the cleaner survive the phenomenon of The Tidy Looby Desk? Glad you are treating yourself though.

Hopeful how are you getting on? Kiera did your Easter meal with your parents go well? Happy mamma what news from you?

Hello,

Its H's birthday, 10 today Surprised, how did my youngest get to double figures so quickly!! She is over joyed with her xbox. Its in the living room as her bedroom is a bit small and we don't have a spare tv. I don't think there will be much problem with it as its not really A's thing so fingers crossed. Had to laugh at your post Louise. C is absolutely the same as your eldest hehe. Glad you're feeling zippity doo-dah after few days off.

Happy Birthday to H pq. When C turned 10 last year, I also couldn't believe he'd hit double figures. Frightening isn't it? Hope she's had a great day, and has a lovely evening.

A big well done to your daughter on weight loss Sparkling. Glad you're having Friday off.

Shall take a look at that link in a bit Anna. Hope you're okay.

Looby, cheeky glass of wine eh? I'm sure you deserved it, and helped you unwind, what with the relaxing bath too.

C was okay after a while the other day, so wasn't too bad. His throat is hurting again (oh no) so see how that goes. He is bored, but it really is too cold to do anything. I should be making an effort to play something with him indoors, but I honestly cannot be bothered, and it does seem like another chore on my list. Sounds mean I know.

Hello to everyone in the chatroom Laughing

Sorry to hear some of you had snow yesterday, my friend in Surrey drove home from work in a blizzard!

PQ glad your daughter had a good birthday, yes it is amazing when we think of how quickly they grow. What's on the agenda today?

Looby it does seem a weird time for the HMRC site to be down, over the end of the tax year! Bit like them doing major roadworks on Brighton seafront for the whole of August. Did you have a nice evening with your friend?

Hazeleyes hope it is mild enough for you to venture out today even if not for long. Do you have a library near you? My eldest used to spend hours in there and get books out about things like electricity and the history of trains. It got more difficult when youngest came along as whilst the book choices were being pondered, he wanted to see what was in the library bin and whether there was anything he could eat in there, so we had some fun and games with that one!

Sparkling dare I ask if it is a day off today then?

Anna did you enjoy yoga? I have decided I need an overhaul of The Make-Up Bag, I am not a person who wears it much but yesterday I went to put some lippy on and thought ooh yes this was a gift from X-boyfriend and suddenly realised that I was seeing him NINE YEARS ago so that lippy is very old. I reckon a clear out is needed and then I can buy a couple of new things Laughing

Just seen on TV that it is Ladies' Day on the day before the Grand National and they were talking about the outfits the WAGS might wear, I just want to say who on earth wants to be labelled as "wives and girlfriends" instead of being known as a person in their own right? GRRRRRR. Imagine a group of designer-dressed blokes being labelled as "HABS" (husbands and boyfriends)Tongue Out

Hope everyone will have a fab day!

Hi everyone

kiera, well done you and your daughter! It is such a good feeling isn't it, does she feel very proud of herself?! It sounds as though you all have a good weekend ahead! I have video of my daughter and neice playing some wii dance thing and it still tickles me now when I watch it!

Hi pq, what is the prboblem with the xbox? There are only so many holes the wires can go into and then when you do the tuning, make sure the xbox is on until you find it!! Ha ha I make it sound so easy, it was 10 years ago and we did have an old tv! Do you know anyone locally who could help? One tip is to type the problem into the internet, that often helps. Good luck :)

Louise, I lurved yoga! I think I have said before, because of all the sweating it makes you feel like you have 'really' worked out hard - which of course I had! I can almost get my head on my knees again, something I haven't been able to do since my 20's! Happy make up shopping! I am always surprised how expensive some make up is, my friend bought me Yves San Laurent mascara one birthday and it was divine (it jolly well should be, I have since found it cost £23 odd quid!)

With regards to your comment about WAGS, sadly I think young women actually aspire to be a WAG Undecided

Hi Looby, I hope you had a good time with your friend, your comment made me laugh! I still get a little overexcited when I am out on a school night and my daughter is 18!!

Hi all. Well, I've not done anything today apart from tackling the ironing, so that is now under control. I had good intentions of dusting and hoovering, but a friend rang, and then I lay on the settee and watched a load of cack really. Friend's son is having a get together for his birthday. C has been invited, so he's really looking forward to that. I shall drop him there, then do some food shopping, before going back to collect. We were supposed to be going to a colleague's house on Sunday with another colleague, but it's been cancelled. Nothing on at the cinema, which is a shame. Think the weather is supposed to be turning a bit nicer next week (here's hoping) C returns back to school a week on Monday, which is great.

Sorry, Rant alert - and I've not caught up on anyone here, so I hope you're all really good... xx

Today was the worst! Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong, so to offload, here it is: It is all in the wake of my washing machine breaking (it sounded like there were bricks in it, then it stopped and when I opened it it was smoking and stinking. Unfortunately, it had my uniform in it and part of that is ruined now.

I was due my herceptin injection at hospital at 10. Pharmacy couldn't be asked to have the drug ready on time. I waited till 12. I also needed to hand in essay and sort out travel expenses with bursary people. So I did that instead of waiting, but it meant an extra trip in the car across the city, so extra fuel and more traffic. I asked for any other results when handing in the new one and they didn't have any. So at 4 I had an email saying they have another result for me.

Then I had a go at the nurse, poor thing, because of the lateness. I know perfectly well it's not her fault, and I felt bad and apologised saying I was having a bad day and she said so was she, so now I feel doubly bad. We did make up though.

Also I had asked one of my colleagues from uni if I could have her uniform (they don't need it anymore, and that would be a solution to the uniform problem). She had left her's at her parents' (her placement was near there, so she stayed there during that time) and was going to pick it up from there. Then she had a day like mine and she changed plans around about 3 times (we've now given up for today and I'll go to her house on Sunday after work).

I thought I'd go to the bank as my account is very dire now (have emailed money expert people) and I have found that I have 600 less going in than I need (ex's maintenance plus food & fuel rises plus benefits cuts) and I can last this months, but after that who knows. I thought I'd organise an overdraft for a little while. But no, you need an appointment to see anyone in a bank nowadays. (I told them there advertising was wrong. Might change banks once I am sorted).

Went shopping for the absolute necesseties and left the economy big pasta bag hanging on the trolley after loading the car. One friend who offered to wash stuff enthusiastically said 'is Sunday ok' and it's not. :-(

Now going to look at washing machines - No2 son will give me his savings - my mum will pay him back as soon as she gets out of rehab where she is for a broken neck of femur.

I am very tired. Rant over.

Thank you all ..... xxx

That's quite a list of not good things Hopeful.  I hope your evening is at least peaceful.

I did have a day off.  My friend who moved away a while back called with her 14 year old.  The boys as so close having grown up together, they had a great morning.  I didn't know until 11pm last night that they were coming!

Daughter and I went for a ride to the mountains this afternoon.  Colleague held out until 4.15pm before she phoned with a query!  Not that I could help...

I'm going in tomorrow to do the year end looby.  I was relieved that pay day was on 5 April so could get away with RTI for another week.

My friend has given me some ideas with working for myself, which I shall look into.  Sounds feasable, and a reasonable hourly rate chargeable too... We shall see.  I just want to get P60s sorted and the first RTI set up.

Youngest has a friend over for a sleepover.  The boy is full of cold though, so I'm not best pleased.  The older two have gone for a walk down to Asda to get some dog food and pick up chips.  Hope the chips get double wrapped as it's a 20 minute walk!!

I hope everyone is keeping warm.

Router is playing up here again, and we had no internet yesterday.  I have a phone number to ring about sorting out the new one.  Must get around to it.  At least I did sort out an orthodontist appointment today...

Morning all

Oh Hopeful what a trying day and it all seems to come at once, you must be flipping exhausted. Did you get sorted with a washer? Is there a nice neighbour who would put a couple of loads through? Hopefully you will be able to get the uniform sorted over the weekend. Have you got a quieter day in prospect? See what the money expert says next week. Fingers crossed there is a better way ahead than you can see right now Kiss

Sparkling, glad you were off and saw your friend, and had a drive with your daughter, even though you got The Boy With The Bad Cold staying overnight, hope it is a cold that your lot have already had! Good luck with work today, while everyone is out of the way.

Hazeleyes, sounds like you let yourself have some relaxing time, good Laughing re cinema, there seems to be a lot of family films out right now, are non of them on near you or don't you fancy the ones that are on? I am always glad when grown up films start showing again, I love the cinema but know that the school holidays will be a write-off for me going.

Kiera did you enjoy your evening? Your daughter has done so well with the potty training.

PQ did you enjoy the lunch out? Don't know what to suggest re X box...Anna's idea re typing it into Google is a good one, I find out loads of things about my phone doing that!

I am off to see a friend whose birthday is tomorrow and also my church housegroup is helping with a local community gardening project and I am the tealady, I have borrowed some hot water flasks from the counselling place and got some flapjacks (which youngest is hoping there will be leftovers from!! I remember when I was little, if ever someone like my teenage cousin came to babysit, I was always jealous of the supper tray she was provided with and I suppose youngest feels the same about the flapjacks)

Is anyone watching The Grand National today? I always wince when horses are injured/put down every year but I know it has become a party occasion, I enjoyed the Alan Carr programme last night Laughing

Morning all. Bit of a strange day for me today. Two years ago today ex decided he no longer wanted to be with me. It's also father in laws 70th birthday today and there is a family tea party later. I have tried to get out of going, but fil has asked me to be there. I can't really turn to him and say that I don't want to be in the same room as his idiot of a son at the minute can I? We do usually manage at these things together, but I think it might be a bit difficult today. It feels like it will be difficult. Any ideas?

Good luck with year end Sparkling. I am dreading sending my first FPS in RTI. It's not been helped by the fact that we have closed one of our payrolls down and transferred the thirty people to another payroll. First week of RTI and 30 new starters. You may hear the screams next week!

Hello to everyone else and hope you all have a lovely day. Off to tackle the cleaning, which is seriously reduced as I have not had J with me all week. Makes you realise just how much mess they make!

At least there's only 18 of us...

Good luck with FiL's party.  We managed to do these things for a couple of years, and then The Git wouldn't carry on - which suited me...  The sad thing though is that the children were never invited along, and while I appreciated I wasn't family, they were.

I hope everyone has the sunshine we have - lovely if you can get out of the wind.  Have a good Saturday.

Good morning, the sun is shining and the chill is going from the wind...yay...is spring finally here?????

The xbox was working, it was the xbox live account I couldn't sort, but I've done it now so everyone is happy. The girls have gone to an all day birthday party at their friends house so I've got some extra time to myself this week Smile. Might try and get into the garden for an hour later as its such a nice day.

Looby I feel for your predicament. I go to my in-laws a lot but my ex has fallen out with a lot of his family so doesn't go to the gatherings so I don't have to be there with him, not sure I'd want to go if I knew he was going to be there. Maybe you could focus on how 'grown up' you are being about the whole thing, that way you can feel good about yourself and maybe enjoy the occasion?

Went to see FIL this morning to give him his present. I've bought him a rose named Happy 70th Birthday, which he loved. I also spoke to him about the party and I didn't feel comfortable going with ex being there. He asked what he's done to me now! He then played the guilt trip and said he wants all his family there as he doesn't know how long he's got left. We have come to a compromise in that I will go about half six seven, when ex should have gone home with J, or at least he won't be there for long.

The sun is shining here too. I have actually just been outside without a coat, only with a cardigan. I felt naked!

Glad everyone has been enjoying the sun. I went to the garden project and we sat for a while in the sunshine, still with coats on but wonderful all the same. Saw my friend for her birthday, we had a good girly chat and arranged lunch for next weekend. Then counselling office.....computer would not work, felt very Yell as it was a good opportunity to get the work done without loads of people milling round. Youngest got home early and we had a chat. He has gone off to his friend's for a while and we will have a Chinese for tea.

Looby you made a good compromise there. It is hard when older people do that emotional blackmail thing isn't it? Hope Plan B worked out well.

Did you get out PQ? The girls will have enjoyed the party, fingers crossed for peace when they return. Hope you had some sun after your snow, Hazeleyes. And that you have had a better day, Hopeful Kiss Kiera you will be getting a tan! Glad you are enjoying the dancing. How was work, sparkling?

I had a lovely few hours at work.  Head down and just got on with it.  Not a lot with pay as you earn as the hmrc was closed.

Did a load of sage stuff though.  Haven't had time to do anything with that for a while.

Its a lovely day here.  My lot are having a camp fire.  Ages since they've had one as it kept raining and blowing gale.

I told them today that its an ideal evening - and could well be the last ideal evening of the year!  I treated them to a bag of logs and sticks, marshmallows and rich tea biscuits¬

Just got in from the party - the compromise worked out very well. I missed the birthday cake and a lot of people had gone when I got there, but I was there as FIL requested. J was very pleased to see me. He was playing outside with niece when I got there, so I crept up behind him and said 'hello little man'. His resulting scream of mummy could be heard three counties away. To say he was pleased to see me is an understatement. I got some huge cuddles. The only problem the was that he didn't want to go with his dad. FIL has had a good day, but its tired him out.

Sparkling, the campfire sounds lovely!! bet they enjoyed it. You're right, got to make the most of any decent weather we have

Looby you did really well to deal with the party like that. Awwww it was lovely that J shouted that out, melts your heart! When is he back with you?

How is everyone this morning? I am sort of losing track of what day it is, with the holidays, does anyone else feel like that?

Good morning all. Everyone is enjoying the sunshine I see. It's beautiful isn't it?

Didn't get back in until 1.30 this morning! Picked C up from friends, and there was a few of us chatting and drinking. Kids were great and had a fantastic time. Normally neighbour downstairs has had a drinking session on a Saturday, so there is no noise whatsoever from him. This morning, he's decided to have his radio on extremely loud, which of course woke me! Thankfully C is still fast asleep.

Took some chicken out of the freezer to defrost for today, but I've left it out on the side all night, so cannot cook that today now. Should have put it in the fridge last night, but completely forgot!!!

Hope you all have a good day. Louise, I'm also getting mixed up with the days, it's wierd isn't it?

Good morning, sounds like you had a good evening hazeleyes.

I'm getting really disorrientated about the days too, in fact I'm quite looking forward to going back to work tomorrow to get some structure back in my day!

Going to the optitian today for my 2 yearly check up. I needed new glasses 2 years ago but couldn't afford them at the time so its been 4 years since my prescription was upgraded. I have really noticed my eyes are struggling now so I'm looking forward to new glasses.

Looks like another lovely day outside.

Are the girls back to school tomorrow pq? I should also get my eyes re-tested, as like you, I'm struggling, but haven't got round to making an appointment. Always slips my mind!! Does look lovely out, but I'm cold indoors. Need to go to shop, (boring)

Snap - I need to go the opticians too.  I can't afford to go yet though.  I need to get the children there though.

I'm glad you saw your FiL looby.

It sounds like you had a good evening hazeleyes - I'm really glad.

Everyone back at school and college here tomorrow.

Challenges with 17 year old though, making me reconsider things here.

Its cloudy here today, but calm. Mountains are hazy, but still thick with snow.  I thought that would have melted yesterday!

Hello everyone

Top Tip from Louise....I believe that anyone who does a substantial amount of work on a computer is entitled to the cost of a regular eye test from their employer....of course you have to get your own glasses unless computer work is all you have to wear them for (unlikely) but this is worth asking about the test fee at work. See here for a straightforward explanation of the law. Also many people on lower incomes can get a free test and a voucher towards glasses See here

Hazeleyes that was a late night for you and I predict an early one tonight heh heh. I have done that thing before where I have defrosted something and forgotten to put it in the fridge at night, very annoying. Sparkling you still have some distant snow! Hope things are not too bad with your 17 year old. PQ is it all quiet on the western front?

Youngest got in extremely early, before 2am, unheard of for a Saturday night, seems he was being a bit raucous and got chucked out the club. Hope he takes notice (though I doubt it) Eldest went to a party and had a rather raunchy time with a girl, so I understand Embarassed I feel very sensible in comparison and will have to start wearing a granny shawl at this rate!!!!

Perhaps I could crochet you one Louise ;-)

Order is restored to the world, J is back home. 9 days has been way too long to be without him. He has not stopped cuddling me and telling me he loves me. Did feel a bit sorry for ex, he looked lost when he handed him over. On the plus side, he turned up with polo shirts and new trousers for J.  We've had a great day, one of J's friends has come over for a bit, we've washed the car and played on the Wii. I've also sold some bits on eBay and made a bit of money. All in all a good day!

Sounds lovely looby.

Things here have been fairly calm here....she's says crossing fingers!! We haven't had too many problems for a couple of weeks now, they get niggly with each other but I try to keep out and only intervene when they break house rules and I have been giving them a time out early if it looks like things may deteriorate...so far so good Smile.

Went to the optitians, I need reading glasses which makes me feel old!! So I either have 2 pairs or I go for varifocals, of course I couldn't decide so came away with nothing!!

I go back to work but the girls have another week off. They're doing a combination of child minder and holiday club.
