This project has four main areas of work: providing advice, information and practical support to refugees and asylum seekers to help them access education, training and volunteering opportunities
- acting as a central information point about the availability of English Language classes across Sheffield, setting up support groups and other appropriate mentoring activities for refugees from professional backgrounds – such as the Refugee engineers’ support group and the Refugee teachers’ support group.setting up volunteer work placements and other employment familiarisation initiatives for refugees from professional backgrounds.
