I was out and about most of the weekend. We wen to the theatre to see Cats on Saturday. Absolutely fantastic. We really did enjoy it. If I was rich I'd try and get tickets to see it again!
Louise I'm so glad the meal went well.
PQ - I hope all that works. Not nice...
Yesterday my friend and I have been together for 6 months. I had to laugh though as I'd had an absolute horrid day at work. I was glad my colleague and not her daughter was in, and even we couldn't come up with solutions. Our builder cut his hand badly last week, so is unable to build. The other chap who can do building work is on compassionate leave (so sad) and the third option is on paternity leave.
Nightmare...
Anyhow, I worked late, came home and straight upstairs for a shower as we were going out for tea. I decided to wear heels, thank goodness, and went to the living room to put on my boots and for my daughter to shut the zip on them (sad not being able to reach the zips...). Only to see a beautiful bouquet of flowers on the fireplace! I called the youngest through who said "oh yes, flowers came from J saying 6 months and still counting..." He'd forgotten.
I've been to the gym. Trying to remind myself that its doing me good.
I hope everyone is ok.

Thats a lovely story sparkling x
Not the bit about the bad day at work tho......!
Morning All, sun is still shining "yeah"
Glad you got all the pests sorted PQ
Did they come do your bees yesterday skyflower?
Cats sounded fab sparkling, sorry you did not get your celebratory tea, time does seem to be flying by.
I'm off to a market event for work today and the girls have junior soldiers tonight.
Hope everyone has a good day
Yes it was a 5 minute job really they spray that stuff in the nest, some die and the rest flies out, you have to wait and see there is no activity before sealing it off otherwise they go deeper into your isolation apparently. It will be sealed off on Friday.
How is it with you PQ are all your bees gone and what about the squirrel? Saw Cats years ago Sparkling it was really fab to watch, great you had such a good time and what a lovely story I am so glad you found someone nice,
Hope your event goes well Sally, I am finally getting my shutters today after about 5 months waiting, no more waking up to the sky.....
The event went really well lots of networking!
Do you have Velux windows skyflower? i have those in the girls room, i keep on at them about getting blinds but they like laying in bed looking at the sky.
How is everyone else?
Morning all,
I went on a study day yesterday, decided to wear a nice summer dress as I usually wear a uniform to work, only to be blasted all day by full on air conditioning!!! Oh my did I get cold!!!
The squirrel is still at large! It was very active last night, I think it was having a sugar rush from eating all the bounty bars left out as bait....shame it doesn't fancy the bits inside the trap
Hope you all have a good day, its supposed to be scorchio
Hi all!
Glad you got the animal problems sorted PQ and Sparkling!
Sounds like everyone else has been enjoying this beautiful weather we've been having? I have been!
We've had a very busy but fun week and weekend, spent lots of time in the garden over the weekend, planted our sunflower on the Saturday, playgroup on Monday and CBT, had a really good session with my therapist :-) then the last 2 days, we've been round a friend's house and I was nannying her son while she did her work in her studio conservatory, and made £80 for the pleasure of it- he's a lovely little gentleman, 13 months old!
Today we walked to my nan's house, which took an hour, which was a lot quicker than I thought it would be! And have been sitting in the sun all afternoon, Sprog had a baby bath tub full of water to play with underneath a makeshift parasol :-) grandad bought me a bottle of Bulmer's pear cider too, lush ^_^
We're gonna be crashing here at my nan's tonight as well, got to scurry home in the morning before 10 in time for my food shopping hehe
Hope you all enjoy the rest of the week and your weekend :-)
xXx
Weather is definately lovely, i like not having to cart around so much stuff, jumpers, coats etc.
You made me laugh with the dress thing PQ, i dread the fridge section when i go shopping this time off year brrr.
Sounds like your having a great week CleverMummy, your grandparents sound fab, hope you made it home in time for your shopping!
Today i'm tackling the cleaning and hope to be able to sit and relax for an hour in the sunshine
I have a night to myself tonight. No one is available to do anything so I think I will do some gardening as it should still be warm enough to be outside later.
I've also got My Sisters Keeper recorded on my sky box, I loved the book so I'm hoping the film is as good. Might get a cheap bottle of Cava from Aldi too
Sounds like a lovely time in the garden clevermummy, I remember those sort of days when all you needed was a washing up bowl of water and a bit of shade
Don't go too mad with the cleaning Sally, I should enjoy the out doors as the sun is supposed to be going tomorrow.
Hope your squirrel gets hungry PQ and you will soon be rid of it, it is lovely Sally, a lot of people are complaining it is too hot but I am just so pleased with no rain,
My sisters Keeper, what channel is it on PQ I would love to see that is it on Demand?
Yes Sally, chill out and relax it is gone quickly,
My children have set up a date with a friends father, I know the children but not their parents, haven't got any clothes to wear and we are supposed to see each other tonight, the kids all at my house, we are being observed like a hawk they all want this....it has been ages since I have last been out, told a friend of mine and she will give me some clothes to borrow, cant believe I am doing this with my stomach upset, will swallow loads of pills, my procedure is the 23rd of this month,
have a lovely weekend all
How lovely skyflower, just think of it as meeting a new friend, and remember to enjoy yourself
Have a good evening skyflower.
I went to the beach this afternoon and the clouds came over.
I really do miss working on a Friday!
Morning everyone
It seems that everyone missed MICH, our friend...she popped in with an update on her situation and some pics for us all to see, it is on the first page of June chat. Thanks, Mich, great to see you and to know that you have rebuilt your life after all you went through.
Sparkling, lovely flowers and I think you should make the most of your Fridays off! loved hearing about your trip to Cats.
PQ nightmare scenario re all the infestations, and hopefully the company will come back if there is no result? Hope you have enjoyed the sunshine. I used to work in a bank and my seat was right next to the air blower so I would wear a cotton dress to walk to work then wear a big woolly cardi while I was at work then take it off to walk home! Did you watch your movie?
Skyflower hope you enjoy your night out. A few more days till your tests and it is good to get it sorted and have any treatment needed..but the stress is awful while waiting, so be kind to yourself.
CM12, you are having some fun times, hope you managed to make it back in time for the shopping, heh heh.
I am fine here and going to see a medieval jousting display today and BBQ tomorrow so that should keep me out of mischief.
Good morning,
I watched the film, it was on channel 4 originally skyflower. I cried my eyes out almost from start to finish! I think I needed it.
The squirrels are still having a party, 3am seems to be the time of choice. The fee I paid the pest control man covers another 3 visits so I can get him back to have another look. The bees have gone thankfully. Now all I need to do is get someone in to have a look at my roof.
Really enjoyed my evening on my own last night. I did a bit of gardening, its really starting to look good now, both sides.
I've got a girly day with A. She wants to dye her hair black, so I've compromised and said I'd dye it dark brown for her, never done it before so who knows how it will turn out!!!!
Enjoy your jousting day louise.
Blooming squirrels... I'm sorry pq. Have a lovely day out.
Your weekend sounds good Louise :-)
I've crashed big time. Funny how a little thing can send you flying backwards.
PQ I was dyeing my hair black from the age of 16, up until the Halloween before I fell pregnant at age 22, the compromise with my parents at first was using temporary dyes, how old is your daughter? I'm one all for self expression, so I'd have just let her get on with it, it's only hair at the end of the day, it'll grow back :-p hehe
I am indeed having a good time :-) sounds like everyone else has been busy too! :-) I did make it home in time and with 10 minutes to spare! My delivery slot was 10-12, I got home at ten past and shopping turned up about 20 past :-)
Was a bit let down by a good mummy friend for playgroup though, we were gonna have a "date" but she forgot as she had one of "those" mornings before work, then her son fell asleep when she picked him up hehe but she said she'll make it up to me and so we're going to a big soft play Monday morning, she's picking us up, then watching sprog while I have CBT before playgroup in the afternoon :-)
This weekend, I'm having an easy day indoors today, just gave sprog her late morning bottle and did my housework this morning, then might be meeting L for a picnic in Hyde Park tomorrow, but her ex is being douchey and wants to squeeze in seeing I (L's daughter) back in West London, so we don't know if we'll be able to meet yet...
Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend :-) good luck dyeing A's hair and hope the squirrels get evicted! Louise that sounds like so much fun! Wish we could go! Skyflower hope the date went/goes well! Sally hope you got to sit in the sunshine :-)
xXx
ohhhhSparkling, big hug, so sorry you feel so down, I wish we could help you as you are such a good friend to all of us, always with support and helping out,
(((((((((HUG))))))))) sometimes we do one step forward and 2 backwards, have to go through it to reach a better place. I so hope you have a good friend you can talk with.
PQ I do hope you get rid of the squirrels, glad you got rid of the bees and they can damage your house, all of them, my bees are still there, some died off but they haven't gone at all. Pest control now says they can't do a good job because the nest could be anywhere within the wall of the garage (which is under my child's bedroom) and it needs to be broken open to see where the nest is and then take care of it properly. NOT looking forward to that.
PQ thanks for that iwill have a look if I can catchup channel 4 and thank you Louise, hope you have a fab time jousting, hope your picnic went well CleverMummy and you had some fun,
I had a lovely evening last night the food was delicious (and the wine) and he is a nice man, brought flowers and cake. He looks well after his kids and they are nice kids.
They left all at 1, left the car behind as he had some wine here and this morning as he came to pick his car up, I offered him a coffee. He had been nice enough to ask if he should move the car (because of the neighbours) which frankly, if they want to talk they do anyway.
So when he was back home I get this text saying that his daughter thought we looked like a really nice couple and his son had asked when would we be girlfriend boyfriend and so I have immediately put the brakes on as I had never even met him before.
Really don't like the pressure already...
Hello everyone
I have managed not to get pierced by any lances. Actually it was not horses (as I had thought) but one-to-one combat with chain mail on. They let a little boy from the crowd have a go at tackling The Dark Knight, which was great fun and my friend (the writer) took some fab film footage. We had a walk around the beautiful Castle gardens, and a posh ice cream.
Skyflower eurgh horrid about the bees still here, hope they can find them. Agree re being dragooned into a relationship, the kids were probably trying to let you know they thought it was OK but yes, friends first maybe?
Sparkling, what has happened, can you share? sorry you are feeling wobbly.
PQ glad you had such a nice night and hope A's hair looks good. That's a relief getting the extra visits from the pest people. There is nothing on TV tonight so I have a couple of things I have recorded. What are you doing?
CM12, you have some lovely things lined up even if you were disappointed not to see your friend today. I thought you were going to say that you rushed home and your shopping did not come till 11.55.
Sally hope your dad is feeling better.
Have a decent evening, everyone.
I'm hoping I'll sleep tonight.
It's a silly, silly thing that's got my head spinning...
I went to the beach with my Kindle and read a while. A waste of fuel, but it was better than the clutter of here, waiting for the housing association to say yeah or nay to the oven in a unit...
Yes, it looked as if you had a late night, sparkling, hope you slept ok. Annoying when "someone else" is making a decision, feeling out of control of things is very hard. Good for you, making the trip to the beach! What are you reading?
How is everyone this morning? Hope the day will go well. Youngest stayed out rather late last night, I did not have the energy to get out of bed and tell him off, I will save that treat for later today, heh heh.
What are you all doing today?
Hi one and all. It's little ole me back again. Checking in to make sure you're all behaving yourselves hehe. Got the glasses on Louise!
Welcome to the newbies, and a huge hello to the oldies. Saw Mitch's post, she is doing so well, delighted for her. Sparkling I know is great, and lots of changes going on there. Hope you get op sooner rather than later.
Louise, nothing changes with youngest then lol. Great to hear you made a visit to eldests. Hope everything is great in your neck of the woods. Have missed your funny stories and dreams.
Pq, think its you with the annoying squirrel. God, I remember when I had one, absolute nightmare. Really feel for you. Play some crackly loud stuff on radio station, don't tune in the station is what I mean. I was told they hate this, so hopefully it'll shift it for you.
I am plodding along, nothing new really to report. C is getting excited about secondary school, and continues to do well with his school work. Just done the SATS, and also sat them for secondary school, level 6. Amazing kid. He is off to York soon, school trip for a week. Excited isn't the word for it! I am still working, but big changes have gone on. Now have a different Head, which has made a huge difference. Another post maybe.
Anna, Mary and Sally, how are you all doing?
Wishing you all a good Sunday. Raining here!
Hi Hazeleyes, lovely to have you back on the boards. Hope you are well? Glad things are going well for C at school.
Well I went up in the loft again yesterday and there in the rafters was a Glis Glis!! Staring at me bold as brass. It scurried off between the inner roof lining and the tiles and disappeared in my neighbours direction. I've contacted 'Pest Man',he thinks that as all the bait has gone but the trap hasn't gone off it is highly likely to be a Glis and not a squirrel so he's coming back tomorrow with a different type of trap. The silver lining to my infestation is that everytime I go in the loft I bring down a box or black bag so I've cleared and thrown away a lot of stuff . It also looks like there probably isn't a hole as I thouoght so don't need to get anyone in to look at the roof, so escaped that expense too.
Had a lovely day with A yesterday. We went shopping, she helped me with some gardening, we gave each other manicures and played on the Wii. This morning I dyed her hair, it didn't turn out quite as she expected as there wasn't enough dye in one bottle to cover her long thick hair. It looks OK but just not what she wanted, we've had a few tears but I think its all ok now....
Going to have a quiet day today, the weather isn't great either.
Sparkling, sorry you're feeling out of sorts. Glad you went to the beach, the petrol isn't wasted if it lifted your spirits.
Hi Hazeleyes :-)
Just googled glis glisb - very sweet if it isn't in your attic...
It's a bit cloudy here at the moment. I'm hoping the sun will come out later and I'll see if I can get the other arm brown - awkward lampost I had my back against meant I could only face one way.
I hope your son was suitably ashamed Louise
Have a good day.
Hello one and all
A Glis Glis, now PQ was that the one where the previous man had suggested you use a pistol to get rid before? or am I getting mixed up? Glad you had a nice time with A and hopefully she is settled re her hair colour. You will have the cleanest loft in town.
Sparkling have you evened up your tan? My friend the taxi driver always has a very brown right arm as he leans it out of the window, I told him he should drive an American car sometimes so it will even up.
Hazeleyes how fab to see you, we miss you! C is getting on well and his trip to York means he will be near me and I can just use my telescope It's a brilliant place, he will love it. Glad you have a new Head in situ, is that better for work too?
My dreams...had a funny one the other night. An ex boyfriend told me he was going to Prague for an award ceremony. I agreed to go with him (sniggering inside as my memory of the place included rotting dead sheep in the street and giant rats everywhere and I knew he would hate it....obviously this was in my dream as Prague is a gorgeous place in real life) So I was packing and my friend came over and said she was coming too and I said but you only have a tiny handbag with you and she said don't worry I am only taking a onesie...and then I woke up. Weird.
Youngest has Been Told. He was very gruff and shamefaced so hopefully it will work. Been to a fab BBQ, the rain stopped just in time.
Lovely to see everyone and have a brilliant week!
Hi ladies, and men!
I didn't go meet my friend for a picnic in the end, as her ex decidedly screwed up her plans (again) but we could've gone as he didn't pick up their daughter til 4 or 5 hours later than he said! I hate him lol I had a lovely weekend all the same though, had some messy play with paints on Saturday, which Sprog loved! And then my mum came round for a coffee yesterday, which was nice :-) and yes Friday ran very efficiently! Happy me ^_^
Today, I'm off the leash as a friend has taken Sprog out for the day with her son to Warwick, I have a CBT appointment at 12, but then I'm at a bit of a loose end as to how to spend the rest of my afternoon, as Sprog won't be home until 4 or 5 ish!
PQ, awww a glis glis hehe Hope he uses a humane trap for you! And hope it gets re homed soon! :-) hehe
Hi Hazeleyes nice to meet you :-)
Skyflower, hope things work out for the best with your friend :-)
Hope everyone else had a lovely weekend :-) what is everyone up to this week? We've got to see Sprog's daddy again tomorrow- don't know what we're doing yet though as I haven't heard from his mum yet.... And should be having a friend from uni visiting on Thursday, but with her it's always very hit and miss!
I'm off to get ready and pamper myself a bit before CBT now, so will speak later!
xXx
Hi all, ( thanks Louise), no worries, I know chat goes at a rate of knots, and I don't get here often,( and although my laptop isn't that old, it's soooo slow, but it doesn't mean I don't think about you all, and at least I hope it helps some peole starting out on this awful journey to see that things will get better, and even if you don't have lots of material things, you certainly get to appreciate what you do have.
Hugs ((()))
Hi clevermummy, lovely to meet you too. Hope to get to know you more, as hopefully, I'm back on the board again. Days pass into weeks then months so quickly, and before I realised it, I'd been off here for yonks! I always think of everyone though.
Louise, yes do get the binoculars out PLEASE! They will be doing lots, itinery sounds fab. As you know C has been away from me before, but with family, so this is rather different. Plus, he's got some health issues ongoing, and having tests done. Just been diagnosed with migraine too, and been on a heart monitor. Due back this week to see consultant. Bit full on here, and dealing with lots, but as always, we get ghrough these things don't we?
What can I say about work, uhmm, it defo has changed. New Head is nice, but lots of changes, for the better so far. Certainly deals with behaviour! I ended up ringing police over the bully. Not sure if I actually posted on it, but things certainly improved.
anyhow, off to prepare dinner for tonight, chicken curry, yum.
Morning All
It is really good to see you back Hazeleyes, glad to hear all is going well
Your so right mich it does help some people to know that things will get better, also agree with you about appreciating what you do have!
Hope you enjoyed the rest of your sprog free time CM12
Hope your feeling in a brighter mood sparkling
Your weekend sound great PQ, my friend has really thick hair she has to buy/apply two bottles of hair dye so she can get an even coverage.
skyflower it sounds like the date went well even though you were rail roaded into it.
Loved hearing about your dream Louise, hope you have a good week!
Managed to get loads done on Friday and had time to sit out for a while and work on a tan, weekend was great, my dads a lot better though he was quieter than normal, apparently they are adjusting his medications and that is affecting him abit.
Have a good day everyone
Morning all. Sally, sorry to hear your Dad hasn't been well. What is wrong? Wishing him well.
at the moment, I'm sat in surgery! I fell down my stairs yesterday, and hurting lots. Right side ribs, back arm etc. swelling too, and hurts in ribs on breathing. Not that they can do anything mind, but....
hope you're all having a better start to week than me. Tomorrow at heart hospital with C. it's a fair distance from home, and lovely neighbour has given me cab fare to take us there. What a gem he is.
Oh hazeleys, thats awful, hope you're ok? I think falling as an adult can be quite traumatic and stressfull.
Well 'pest man' came last night and changed the squirrel trap to a Glis cage so this morning we had 2 of them caught and ready to be taken away! They're really quite cute. I've got another cage to set up tonight to see if any more are visiting the house but I'm hoping that is it.
Fingers crossed for you Pq xxx
Ouch hazeleyes, hopefully nothing was broken, hope all goes well at the hospital with C today
Did you find anymore criters PQ?
My dad has dementia hazeleyes and recently had a water infection which effected his behavour.
Hope everyone else is o.k?
Caught 2 more Glis Glis overnight....we seem to have an extended family visiting us!!!
Hazeleyes, hope you are a bit better soon and that they have given you some painkillers, that was awful...
Glad you are catching them PQ !! Glad to see you again Sally and could visit your dad,how is your tan now :)
I could not cope with the pressure and called the dating thing off. My son kept asking me that his friend wanted to know when I was going to see her father again and I just did not want to be observed like that, the kids all excited about our next date. When then he invited himself over for a glass of wine, I just said I was not ready to do this.
I probably am not. He was talking about being married again on that first date and I would like to give my house to the kids. It is for them.
Oh blimey Skyflower, I don't blame you! I'd have run a mile too! Sprog's dad was very eager to be involved with me much too soon, before sprog was even thought about and I found it weird then! But he turned out to be abusive, and my hv said that early over enthusiastic involvement is a sign of an abuser (there were other signs I missed out on too!) Glad you got out of it now rather than later though:-)
Hope you're ok Hazeleyes, and hope C is ok too! And Sally, hope your dad's doing better now! PQ glad you're catching the glis glis :-) nice to meet you Mich :-)
Hope everyone else is doing ok!
Had a lovely day to myself on Monday, did a bit of window shopping and saw a cross trainer on Amazon for only £60 and still having a mental battle over whether to get it or not, but I think I should! Lol Contact went ok on Tuesday, went to the Bunny Park in Hanwell which was nice, he didn't speak to me again, but spent the whole time with sprog ;-) and his mum said if ever I red a break to give them a bit of notice but they'd love to have sprog, evenings, a couple of hours, whole say whatever :-) yesterday I was nannying for fora friend again, her son is lovely! And I took sprog and him (O) to a local soft play, O was in his pushchair and sprog was walking, and she was really good until lunchtime! Narrowly avoided a complete melt down over an apple (again!!!) And then she insisted on playing with her food more than eating (normally she's like a machine eating her food!), she nearly fell asleep on the bus to drop O home, then after we got home, she kept playing with her dvds again, so on her Thinking Spot twice! ! With screaming, crying and knocking her head against the wall! !!! Lol she's such a madam!
Had a nice evening once she was asleep, chatting to my bestie/old housemate from uni for an hour :-) then I crashed out on the sofa! Lol
Today, I've got a lot of housework to do, as my friend should be visiting this afternoon, plus got another friend who lives locally who's more reliable coming for dinner and to watch a film :-)
What's everyone else up to for the rest of the week?
xXx
Did anyone watch the documentary on channel 5 last night about violent children? It was really upsetting!
Sounds like you've been busy CM12.
Skyflower, no one likes to feel pressured into anything, especially a relationship. I think you should trust your instincts.
Its football for me tonight!
Hi everryone feels like I have not been on here for ages! Lots to catch up on! I had an amazing time in cardiff thanks Sally. Sorry to hear about your dad. J had hospital appointment few weeks ago, and they said he would have to wear special boots again, however they assured me they would not be the horrible chunky pedro boots he had to wear when little! We'll picked them up on Tuesday, there horrible and so big long hot, he wont wear them, as to hot and camt say I Blaime him! Waiting for hospital to return my call as what to do! Feel like a bad mum if he wears them, bad mum if he doesn't !! Ooh look at the time must go pick up m from school, and j has the o t coming to see him. Hope everyone is enjoying the lovely weather everything feels better when the sun is shining! Looby my 11 year old is always making loom braclets !!!
Loom braces, my boys get them from the girls in school!!! At breakfast it is all about what someone will make for them, the youngest saying this morning that someone will make him a snake one, the eldest a glow in the dark !!
So sorry to hear your son has to wear those boots, awful at his age.
Thanks for saying that about the pressure, I did feel so relieved when breaking it off though the kids were not happy with me.
We are over run with the loom bracelets - I was sent to work wearing one yesterday! J can also tell you exactly which girl made him which bracelet. He also has a list of girls he has to make bracelets for.
We're having an eventful week this week. J broke his glasses the other day at school. He gets his new ones on Saturday. Took him to get them fixed and they couldn't fix them, so he has mismatched arms as I told them to put any on to get him through a couple of days. He thinks that they are the coolest specs ever as they are odd. The abcess on his knee has finally burst. I thought is was revolting but apparently having green slime oozing from your knee is 'awesome'. He's also excited because one of his fish has had babies! We have about half a dozen tiny little platys swimming around. Apparently the female can have several lots of fry without a male, as she keeps it inside her. Clever girl, but i get the feeling we are going to be over run!
We're over run by loom bracelets too. My youngest makes them then sells them to her friends at school, she's got quite a little business going!
Caught another Glis Glis last nigth, that makes 5 in total. Can't believe there are so many. The 'pest man' says I need to keep going with the trap until I stop catching anymore......I should start taking bets on how many I'll catch altogether??
Hi Looby, some kids just love the gore, the more pus the better!
Hi everyone, are you enjoying the sunshine? I am loving it, although we are still very busy with our new look One Space! I can't wait for you to see it!
I just wanted to remind everyone about the brilliant offer we have for the summer holidays, discount code for school holiday camps. Its a great discount and there are lots of options from swimming, playing sports or performance and dance. Check it out!
Its funny i'd forgotton all the funny crazes little ones go through now mine is going to be 20 very shortly, when she was in junior school it was Shag bands
It sounds like everyone is being proactive, listening to themselves and doing what is right for them, long may it continue
I am going to be off for a week and a half as I have been incredibly lucky and managed to get some stewarding work at Glastonbury (I've never been before), I haven't needed to pay upfront and I get meal tickets too!! So very excited, if anyone watches it on telly I will be waving to you!! Has anyone on here ever been?
Hazeleyes, I hope you're ok. So frightening... xxx
Hard going here still. Eighteen year old having issues completing work for college. Plan in place, but he has no idea there is... I'm tired. He's stroppy and moody, and the other three are being encouraging - at least when I'm within ear shot!!
Weather here is lovely. Not sure I've evened out the tan though! I don't go brown like I used to when I was little...
I'm going to see my Aunty in the morning. I've printed some photos of my niece and her family (she had a baby earlier this year). While my brother did show her photos on his iPad, she had nothing to hold, so to speak.
I hope everyone has a good weekend. I hope the glis glis have packed their suitcases and moved on pq.
Hello one and all
Hazeleyes, I do hope you are not in too much pain from your fall, how did C get on at the hospital? I know this is something that was mentioned a long while ago now, so I am thinking they still have not got to the bottom of it.
PQ wow that is a lot of lodgers in your loft glad it is having an effect and let's hope that's it now. I have recorded the violent child programme to watch this weekend.
CM 12 you are doing well with your day to day life and it is great to know you could have a break if you need one.
Skyflower, yes you can do without that pressure. What have you got planned for the weekend?
Looby, having had two boys I have great empathy with J (quite like green pus myself haha)
Abbie Lou, is it possible for your son to delay wearing the boots a few weeks till the weather cools down?
Sparkling, hope your son is calmer today?
It looks like BBQ weather but my youngest is working. Washed a load of bedding. Got a new puzzle book, and will take it in the garden with me. Been helping to train some people who are starting out as pregnancy crisis counsellors this week. Eldest has been promoted at work so is thrilled. Youngest trod on a piece of glass in bare feet, which was worrying but turned out ok, however, I am glad of a quiet day!
What are you all up to?
Sounds really like you have such nice jobs, Louise, editing books, councelling, training councillors, you did so well to chose such enjoyable jobs. Fantastic your son got a promotion. Poor youngest !
My day will be quiet, a friend will come check on my shutters as she definitely wants them (bringing her husband along as she has seen them and made up her mind) and I must say they do look very beautiful and no maintenance. I am on my diet for my procedure this Monday, I am not getting better and see how tired I am when walking the dog.
PQ can't believe all the gliss gliss you found! Hope they stop coming are they still entering from somewhere ?
Hope everyone has a lovely day and Hazeleyes I hope it is a bit better with you
Hi Skyflower, have you been told to eat/not eat certain things before your tests? We will be thinking of you on Monday, remember you can take us with you in your handbag.
Is your friend going to have the shutters?
My youngest's foot is much better, inspected it this morning. As for me having some nice jobs, I do indeed but have done some less pleasant ones in the past; haven't we all? I am watching that Tony Robinson programme about The Worst Jobs in History on the TV at the moment, there is a rat catcher on it (not a glis glis catcher, PQ )
Has anyone seen that film Belle advertised? I like the look of it.
Yes Louise I started the diet today and thank you Louise for the handbag idea :) such a lovely thought. I am glad you have nice jobs now Louise. Rat catchers, what a horrible job that must be.
My friends husband had no chance, it was a done deal and 2 hours after they left, she texted me that her windows are going to be measured Thursday and that they had chosen, talk about fast.
Glad your youngest foot is a lot better, havent seen the ad will look out for it now, is it in the cinema? Can u.tube it maybe
Aha I see, Skyflower, your friend is getting the same shutters as you, not removing the shutters from your windows and taking them away!
Good luck with the eating plan. How long will you have to wait after the test to get the result?

Good morning one and all, hope everyone is OK today. I kept waking up last night as the weather was muggy. I seemed to keep having the same dream over and over again, nothing very exciting, just something about buying a pound of apples for my friend and keeping forgetting to take them when I went to see her.
I am on creche this morning and it is swimming club at teatime. Youngest had his weekly night out after working in the club last night so rolled in at 6am, waking me up, grrr. Hope you are all still in the Land of Nod!
PQ so happy it is sorted. Will they come and get the squirrel when it gets trapped ? Or do you have to bring it away ? How does that work? My bee nest gets done this morning for £ 85 I am happy to say. Council seems to come only when it is in your house for bees but they seem to take care of many infestations here.
So sorry to hear about your dad Sally, it is a difficult one, dementia. Glad he is well enough this weekend ?
Here it is really beautiful today
