I do hope things work out with the funding. I was taken to see a chapel that is going to become - hopefully - a community building, with communities first managing it. They need the Scouts involved for extra funding - which means the Group would be able to have first choice of things. He reckons it will take 12 to 18 months to get the funding in place to start the work.

I do hope the sunshines for the street party and that they raise loads. Hope the lady is able to be there and enjoy the day too.

Hi everyone, just a quickie, everything went well with the fund raiser, the buffet went well yest, called school and they did apologise for not having told me so thats all sorted.
The childrens dad is waiting for a phone call for when to go to the hospital, not easy to decifer whats going on but we assume thats for the pre op and the op will follow either Tues or Wed but that said nothing is clear at this moment, he seemed quite confused yesterday and told me 3 different versions but it all sort of amounted to the same thing so will await an update later, children are anxious but they are ok xxx
I havent forgotten about posting the buffet manu in the food section and will try to do that at some point later today xxx
Hi tiredmum. Glad the buffet and the fund raising went ok. Hope all is made clear regarding children's Dad later. It does sound like a pre-op assessment doesn't it, although when I've had ops, my pre-op has always been done a week or so before the operation. I'm sure it's an anxious time for you all. Ok the latest news on the childrens dad is that he is now going for his pre op next Mon morning at 9am followed by his operation on Wed, he sounded really tired today when I called him and also very nervous. Have to say I did find a certain irony in the fact that had I stayed married to my one and only husband(my eldest sons dad) then next Mon would have been my 25th wedding anniversary, I know its probably not right but it did make me smile.
Little one got stung by a wasp tonight, he did come better off than my friends son who was stung 3 times, it was so horrible for them both but they are fine now.
I had yet another meeting today with the origonal guy which also went really well, we also recieved the 1st project analysis from our other guy wow how professional it looks, reading this, I want to fund us Really excited about everything and it is something positive to focus on. We have our 2nd meeting to discuss the project tomorrow evening at 7.30pm, cant wait.
I havent had a chance to post the buffet manu with the wasp incident but will post it in the morning

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, Well I feel so much better for that!!!!!!
They have cancelled the childrens dads operation again!!!!!!!!! This time they say that the theatre wont be ready in time, the surgeon is going on holiday after tomorrow for 3 weeks but has passed him over to his friend to deal with and the operation is now rebooked for 12th August.
I have very stressed out ex, very upset daughter alond with nearly step daughters which I dont blame that at all for!!!!!!!!!!
It is all so frustrating and the childrens biggest fear and I`m sure the ex`s is that as he is a 7 on the scale that the cancer will spread before he gets the operation.

Oh my god tiredmum. That is awful. How on earth can they keep cancelling? You of course are having to deal with the stress of everyone, but how about you? Are you doing ok?

Hi hazeleyes, I really dont know whats going on at all but its certainly not good, I am ok, fed up with having to tell the children that the op is on then its off as both are really stressful things for them to deal with, thankfully I chose not to tell little one too much so he isnt as mithered as the others.

Don't worry about catching up, we all know the pressure that you're under. Good idea about not telling the youngest too much. I think it is awful that the surgeons are keeping your ex hanging on. xx
OMG!!!! How ridiculous is that? I find it difficult that in a situation like this that they're able to delay it.

I wish I understood why they are doing this, is it the cutbacks I wonder, I really dont know what to think, my daughter has gone to stay over at her friends so a girlie night might just be the tonic she needs I do hope so, its a long time till the 12th isnt it xxx

I know with my neighbour when she was due to have her hip replacement (which, to be fair can be delayed...), and her op was delayed as the theatres weren't ready after being closed for deep cleaning. It's done annually she was told. No idea if that's what 's going on rather than cutbacks, but surely it could be staggered?
12th does seem a long way off, and of course under the circumstances, it definately is. Surely it cannot be to do with cutbacks?? Have you been able to speak to the consultant at all, or is just your ex and his daughter? xxx
Well you would have thought so wouldnt you and surely they have more than one theatre that they can operate in? He was promised that he would be 1st on the list for tomorrow so as you do got himself all worked up and worried yet again to be called today and told it was off again!!!!!
The other concern I have is that at his pre op a week mon ago they told him to stop taking his warferin(not sure thats spelt correctly) but thats because he had a stroke, so when they cancelled they told him to still not take it till after tomorrow, havig spoked to my friend who used to be a nurse she said that was pushing it to not take it for approx 9 days, now he hasnt been told what to do so still isnt taking it, that must put him at risk of another stroke surely xxx
I have tried to stay in the background for all the right reasons but even my eldest son today said mum why cant you call them and kick off you are good at that, which did make me smile xxx

As for the warfarin, why did the hospital say not to take it again until after tomorrow? Doesn't sound right at all. No operation, so surely he should have started taking it today once they'd called him. He should call his own GP tomorrow tiredmum to be totally sure. I feel so sorry for him, what a nightmare. xxx
It does sound like a nightmare.
They didnt want him to take it as it thins the blood which in an operation isnt the best thing so did understand the need to stop it for a few days but not a few weeks!!!!!!!
I have also suggested that he goes to his GP tomorrow to see whats best to do the other thing they said is that he doesnt need another pre op which again I would be worried about as he does have to have regular blood tests etc and is on quite a few tablets, but they just seem to overide anything thats said we the we know best, I am not cinvinced they do after this xxx
I am going to go and try to get some sleep, not easy these days at all xxx

The pre-op thing should be done again before the op. My sister is having grommets in, and her op was cancelled, so she was called in again for another pre-op assessment. It doesn't seem right tiredmum. xx

Hi everyone, I`m fine thank you, still popping in and out of here, it has been a busy few days.
Little one is off on his camp trip today till Fri, he is excited and nervous all at the same time but will be fine as he went there last year and the helpers are the same this year as last, my friends son is going too so we are dropping them at the meet up point for 11am.
The operation is now on the 12th August, he is going into hospital on the 11th, presume thats for new pre-op.
I did manage to escape for a few hours on Thursday, it was lovely and with luck I will be able to do the same this week.
We are still waiting for a meeting with the people who can give us a yes or a no on the latest building we have found, they have though agreed that they will meet with us so at least its not just a no!!!!!!

Thank you, we have had texts from the people with them to say they have been canooing and kayaking and have eaten a fab lunch and fish and chips for dinner so we feel a little easier for knowing that xxx

Hope your son has a great time away. What great weather he will have :). When D went away for 3 nights last year with school he was excited and nervous too - I was just nervous lol. It went quickly though. It is good that your son has been before, has a friend to go with and knows the people there.

The childrens father is in surgery now so will hopefully have news soon as to how it went.
Have had no internet because of a fault, really frustrating few days but it appears to be ok today, for now at least, I have an engineer booked for tomorrow to come and check it properly.
Will be here as and when I can xxx

Glad your son had a great time. It wasn't right at all that the school didn't inform you. Perhaps they didn't want to concern you when it was first done, as you would naturally worry, but even so, they should have said something when you collected him yesterday.
That is awfully sad about the lady of 35. I hope today goes really well with raising money. xx
