Hi kiera, this has gone beyond what was happening to you when you first started talking to us now...it is a case of he has now been through the court system and been exposed for what he is, it is not a case of you grassing him up, it is information which could be very important to the next hearing so you had no choice but to tell your solicitor. I say again: any bother and you call the police straightaway.

A busy weekend for you. Hope you and your son like the school, is it one you have visited before? When I was looking around schools with the eldest, the one we had "chosen" was fine but we somehow did not feel right, then we went to another school we had not even considered and I immediately felt "at home" and so did he and that is the one we picked.

Big night out woo-hoo, how many of you are going?

Great to hear you had a good time kiera! I am sure it is just what you needed - a few hours away from all what is going on.

I find sometimes that a night out brings a little confidence with it too. It can be a reminder that you are a normal human being, who knows how to have fun and is perfectly capable of making sensible decisions!

What did the VIP ticket include?

Hi Karim there is no private chat on these message boards. You could start a new thread in Introduce Yourself or just join in with other conversations, ask questions and share a little bit about yourself.

Hi kiera, I hope you are well Smile Say hallo to Pat Craven from all of us at One Space, she knows who we are! Laughing

Do you have any plans for the weekend? Any more exciting VIP nights??!

If I don't speak to you before, good luck with the contact information at the contact centre, let us know how it goes.

Morning kiera

We love having you on the boards and we are very proud of how far you have come. The warning was so that no personal details are on here, including not only phone numbers and email addresses but also user names on other websites, such as netmums, ok?

So your daughter is two next week? That has flown by, and you will have seen big changes in her, some talking going on with her now? She will enjoy her party. I see you are having a quieter weekend...will there be a Sunday dinner in evidence? If so I hope you tell us about it, I like your recipes Smile

Wow that sounds lovely (yum yum). Isn't it difficult when you have a child who does not want to share family meals? My eldest was like that when he was 13-14. He is not brilliant now but will eat a wider selection than before.

Do you use a slow cooker or cook it in the oven?

I've been thinking about getting a slow cooker, are they any good?

I use our slow cooker ever such a lot.  My lot enjoy casseroles and curries, which is what I use it for mainly.

A friend of mine does gammon in coke - which I've been told is lovely, but I've never had the courage to try...

Posted on: October 6, 2012 - 6:08pm

kiera

hi i cook in normal cooker, made pancake sfor tea lol with syrupx

How long would you have to do a casserole for in a normal oven then, kiera? I use a slow cooker because it is easy.

Posted on: October 7, 2012 - 8:06am

kiera

well 2 hours in my oven for casserole, makin my own dumplings as well, not started it yet, i put chopped carrots in dish, and mushrooms and brocoli and diced beef i av, and chopped onion, and av packet beef casserole mixed with water poured over it all and in warm oven for say 2 hours, and do mash later on, and dumplings take 20 mins, really nice,my 11 yr old son fussy so he av beef and brocoli and sweetcorn i av, he wont av anythin else, sick doin 2 meals all tym, all costs as wel i go on netmums for recipiesx

Hi kiera your beef casserole sounded wonderfully yummy! We had a good weekend thank you, had a sleepover with friends on Friday, went shopping Saturday, it was really crowded so came home again and yesterday my daughter and I just hung out - I have done NO cleaning all w.e which felt great, but I think I will have to get on with it this evening, just a quick hoover and dust, nothing major!

I can imagine that you are sick of creating 2 meals, what meals does your son eat, that you can all enjoy? I have to say though that it is good that he will eat his veg!

sparklinglime - gammon in coke Surprised I say!

Hi keira glad you had a good weekend , wow your little girl turns 2 next week, my youngest was into peppa pig, she still likes watching the cartoons.

Glad you got the whole appointment thing sorted in the end, your casserole and dumplings sound great, i think i will have to put that on the menu for one night this week, i too like using the slow cooker (not so much washing up) usually make chilli con carne or curry in mine.

Morning kiera, you like spicy food like me. Hope you enjoyed your curry Smile

The casserole sounds gorgeous, I bet you could smell it cooking for ages. My eldest used to be mega fussy with food, he has grown out of it to some extent. I remember the first Christmas after he had left home, he came back and when I put his Christmas dinner in front of him, he had tears in his eyes cos he missed home cooking. Your daughter will be home from Uni at Christmas, won't she? that will be lovely.

Good that you decided to rearrange the meeting.

Posted on: October 9, 2012 - 9:30am

Yes I dont see my eldest much over Christmas, he works in a clothes store and what with the run up to Christmas and then the January sales, he only gets one day off!

Haha regretting a takeaway, unfortunate digestive results? Embarassed I aways think I can still smell the spices on my skin the next day even after a shower and very enthusiatic teeth cleaning. I am having curry tonight but it is a weedy tikka massala and made at home.

Almost your little daughter's birthday, exciting!

Yes it is normal, kiera, it was triggered by the car, your mind was running awya with itself. Unfortunately you will get these type of "flashback" experiences for some time, it is your mind processing what is happening and putting it in its correct place. It means you are getting better, HURRAH! I think you have done marvellously, it has been very hard for you and there is still some way to go but we are with you and cheering you on.
